Thanks for all the great info on Aussie Quandong. The english title

of the movie i mentioned is "The fast runner". You're right about

goat's milk. According to the Madanapala Nighantu (Nighantus are

lexicons in Ayurveda that describe the properties and uses of various

substances in the Ayurvedic materia medica), ajAdugdha (goat's milk)

is light whereas cow's milk is heavy and unctuous. It is considered

very good for consumption, piles, diarrhoea, menorrhagia, fever,

giddiness and vitiation of blood. It does have a constipating effect

if taken in excess. Apparently Gandhi was a big fan. I love it myself

and fresh goat cheese is Sooooo good:-)

Namaste Suraj-ji,

Thanks for the title of the movie. I shall try to find it at some

point. Thanks too for info about goat's milk. You're most lucky to

have Fresh goat's cheese in your location! We can get the cheese in

Sydney but it is not fresh like yours :-(

You're most welcome about the Quandong info. We have several Hindu

temples and lots of Yoga organisations in Australia. Some Ayurveda

practitioners, astrologers and pandits too but not many. All of them

get their puja supplies and rudrakshas from India. Of course none are

interested in quandong. I heard that whenever someone goes home to

India, he would usually pack up a small crate with murtis, associated

religious supplies and other necessities to ship back to Australia.

Best regards,

Om Namah Shivaya,

Sy
