Guest guest
Dear Friends, due to the continued discussion of this extremely esoteric Hindu sect I have sent this link to the which may know the answers best. Please join and discuss the Sri Yantra here - SRILALITHA/ Also, for those interested the one real guru of Sri Vidya that I know about will be traveling the US soon. His name is Swami Amritananda Saraswati and his homepage is www.vi1.org Details of his visit may be had below: PS if anyone meets the Swami please report back here and tell us what you think. Thanks. Let's please have no further arguments about shastras and vague and personal scriptural erudition. Let's all become experiencial experts and sing together in harmony. Dear Friends, On behalf of www.vi1.org, www.devipuram.info and www.iaire.org, we are pleased to inform that Guruji, Sri Amritananda Saraswati (also known as Amrita - http://www.vi1.org/guruji/index.htm) will be visiting North America this summer. He will arrive in the United States on May 4th and will leave early August. We have been overwhelmed (in a happy way :-)) by the response we are receiving from all of you who not only visit our websites but also provide us with invaluable feedback. In fact, this trip was conceptualized and materialized by the persistent inquiries from many of you on Guruji's availability in the US. Indeed, we are fortunate that, despite his not-so-good health, Guruji has agreed to come. Attached with this email, you will find Guruji's detailed itinerary (it's a MS Word file) with local contact information at various places. Please remember that the contacts and places provided in this itinerary are "hubs". If you would like to meet Guruji please directly contact the person listed for the area where you live. We would very much appreciate if you work with the local coordinators in ensuring that there is not too much strain on Guruji's health. Wherever possible, local coordinators will try to arrange a group satsang/get-together/puja/talk which will be an efficient way of meeting a large group of people. For further information, please keep in touch with the local coordinators listed in the itinerary. Please feel free to circulate this itinerary to anybody who maybe interested. Also, as you will see from the attached schedule, Guruji will be giving daily talks on Chandi/Durga Saptashati from May 27th to June 9th in Boston. We are especially greateful to Sri Subba Rao for arranging these talks that would be useful to many of us. Additionally, Sri Subba Rao is working on making arrangements so that these talks could be heard live via the web and/or by a dial-up teleconferencing. Subsequently, we also hope to have a text version of these talks available through the websites. Please look out for further announcements/information on that. A couple of other quick notes:- (1) On popular demand, our webmaster, Aparna Srinivasan, has recently added a detailed text download for the Chakra Mantra Japam at the following link http://www.vi1.org/guruji/Chakra/chakra_meditation.htm. Please note that the text is in pdf format - so you will need a pdf reader to view this document. The pdf reader can be downloaded free from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html (your browser may already have it so first try to view directly - if it doesn't work only then download). We gratefully acknowledge the help of Ahalya Sivapragasm for providing us with the tabular templates and pictures that were used to produce this text document. (2) We have got some interesting feedback on Guruji's Multimedia production on Sri Devi Visualization http://www.vi1.org/guruji/SriDevi/sridevi.swf. Given the exquisite visualizations and sound track, many infants/young children love watching it. In fact, we got a feedback where the mother said that her child was completely "hooked" to this presentation. We thought of sharing this information as it maybe useful for parents who are looking for creative ways to imbibe spiritual values in their children (and more importantly keep them occupied!) Here is wishing you a very nice summer (no signs of it yet, where I live!). We hope many of you will benefit form Guruji's forthcoming visit and continue to inspire us by your feedback and participation. Wishes, Alok On Behalf of www.vi1.org, www.devipuram.info, www.iaire.org
