Guest guest
Its fine that Rudra and Chamaka are made available in the audio form but a little bit of caution needs to be exercised while chanting. 1.Please chant only if you have been initiated into chanting by a right guru.Your guru should have mantra siddhi himself(perfect knowledge of the right intonations, when and how to use the mantra..etc) and should teach you with right intention and purpose and not for any gains(material or otherwise). 2.Right Intonations occupy a sacred place in vedas and have terrific impact on the person who chants and also and the people who hear to these chants.Correct chanting sets up the appropriate and harmonious vibrations in all living things surrounding the place leading to beneficial effects. We all know from Mahabharatha how the son of Bharadwaja maharshi is self destroyed for not acquiring the knowledge of vedas from a sadguru, without heeding to the warning given by his great father. He tries to acquire knowledge through yogic powers. I quote here an example for the importance for perfect intontions. Ghanapati SundaraShahtir Avadhani , a learned brahmin from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh(india) went to Jagadguru Chandrashekara Bharathi of Sringeri Sharada Peetam and poured out his owes.He was a very devout and religious brahmin who had learned all the shahtras and veda's and was a chandi Upasaka(worshipper). He used to do chandiParayana(Durga Sapthashathi) regularly and was an unparallelled srividya upasaka . He told the jagadguru that he married three times till then, but somehow all his three wives died soon after marriage. He being a Grihasta performing yagnas and yagas , could not be without a wife as a wife has certain important functions in a yajna.(A "Apatneeka" ,one who does not have a wife or is unmarried is prohibited from from performing yagnas in the veda's).he told the jagadguru, that he recited the Sapthashathi regularly in additon to his daily pooja and japa. The acharya a Srividyopasaka himself went about and divined the problem. He asked SundaraShatri to repeat the Chandi Kavacha chapter of Sapthashati. When he recited the same the acharya pointed out the reason for his wives death.During the recitation Sundara Shastri was reciting"Bharyam Bhakshatu Bhairavi"(meaning ,let goddess durga in the form of bhairavi claim my wifes life)instead of "Bharyam Rakshatu bhairavi"(mening, let my wife be always protected by bhairavi), which led to the wifes death.Likewise when Durga Sapthashati is learnt from a sadguru and if it is recited properly is equally capable of bestowing bhoga and moksha. And finally here is something interesting...just open the attachment Purushotham The New Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.
