Dear Simji:

Welcome to the Group.

You may want to search our Archives.

There is an Index of Messages In the Files Section of the Home Page of the

Group Site.

And as you have discovered, I'm sure there is a wealth of information on the

Rudra Center Website as well.

Rudrakshas are a gift of Grace and come to us from the era of Sanatan Dharma,

before there were religions, before there were countries.

There is a wonderful commonality of the Higher Tantric Traditions of the

Himalayas of which Rudrakshas are a part of. In the Shaivite Traditions of

India and the Vajrayana Path of Tibet.

There are several members here who are Buddhists or who have a background in

Buddhist practices.

I am certain the Mala you purchased from Rudra Center India will be a great

help to you in your daily practices.

Namaste:

This is all calling to mind for me the declaration of the various

Scriptures that declare to even see rudrakshas is a sign of merit

from past lifetimes and to own and hold them is due to a past life

connection.

So is a good reason to celebrate :-)

Enjoy.

Dear Simji:

I don't wear that specific mala, but 9 mukhi and 11 mukhi are the primary

rudrakshas that I use and I have worn malas with multiple beads of those kind

as well as multiple 1 mukhi and 5 at different times.

No I do not think that your experience is a sign of incompatibility.

Feeling tremendous heat from the rudraksha is not un-common.

Defining what exactly that heat is would simply be speculation on my part...

The tremendous power of the rudraksha..spiritual power as well as the

electromagnetic properties.

It could be a burning out of samskaras, the imprints within our being that

are harmful to us.

I have never heard of anyone harming themselves in wearing a mala such as the

Dhyan Yoga Kantha.

Please try and use it again. Perhaps you may want to hold the mala.

I also know specifically of Buddhist practitioners wearing the malas during

their practices and have made rudraksha malas specifically for Buddhists, so

there is no problem there.

The beads on this mala are very much excellerators to spiritual growth.

Everyone's experience is different. I used to wear a mala of 9 of 9 mukhi to

bed when I first received my mala.

Hopefully we will get some more input from other Members :-)

Please keep us informed.

Many Blessings,

Kanti

Dear Kantiji

Wow - That is great. Thanks for your enlightenment. By the way, do

you feel very warm when you wear this mala for meditation? I use it

for the first time last night and my mind just can't calm down

due to the tremendous heat circulating inside my body and the most

unbearable part is on both the shoulders and the neck area. Normally

I can easily sit for an hour or more but last night I was up before

30 minutes time. Is this mean incompatibility? Your advise will be

greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hello all - may I offer an observation based on many years of meditative

experience that the sensation of heat in relation to any spiritual practice

or proximity to a pure material such as Rudraksha, Parad, Shiva Lingam, etc.

is due to the movement of subtle (Kundalini) energy through the denser

dimensions of the human form, which equates to resistance.

As one becomes increasingly stabilized in more expanded states of awareness

as a result of meditation or other spiritual practices, this heat is

experienced to a diminishing extent. There is no association with anything

inappropriate. The heat is simply a manifestation of energy moving through

form and is a validation of the authenticity of the Rudraksha or whatever is

involved.....

alan

The first year I meditated at MIU in 83 I felt I was on fire the entire time -

24 hours a day, and at night I heard my synapses firing like machine guns. It

went away and now I have a hard time remembering the sensation. It doesn't

happen at all any longer.

Re: Dhyan Yog Kantha Rudraksha

Your expalanations of the effect on the human body of the kundalini are correct.

The important point to note here is this that Dhyan which in lay mans terms is

called meditation is supposed to take you to a state of complete zero, any

sensations felt only indicate that you have a weak body viz a viz your state in

dhyan. So rather instead of imagining that this is an experience ,understand that

your form needs purifications.

Blessings to all

Dear Members

Thank you so much for your help and kindness. I guess eventually I

will be able to adjust to the higher body's energy. I'm also certain

in the days to come, more will be revealed. Once again thank you.

Dear Yogi Ashwiniji

Yes, compassionate actions are always in my awareness in my daily

life and especially in my place (Singapore) we have many

opportunities to put it into practice. Thanks for your kind reminder.

I have been continuing practicing my meditation with the Dhyan Yog

Kantha and after three days of struggling, (sometimes, struggle is a

main factor for practice) I am confident that I'm slowly but

surely getting in tune with them. I sense that the Dhyan Yog Kantha

is telling me to direct my attention to experience mindfulness of

body, experience directly the sensations and vibrations of the body,

as been taught in the Buddhist Insight meditation also known as

Vipassana. Miss Neeta told me that rudraksha enters lives of people

in strange ways and brings with it lots of auspiciousness and good

luck. I am truly convinced now and also realize that their ways may

not be in line with our expectation. Once again thank you for your

help and kindness.

An ideal state of mind is to not analyse but rather just watch and let go.

Re: Dhyan Yog Kantha Rudraksha

Dear Kirkji

You are absolutely correct. Insight meditation on feelings is to

acknowledge feelings whether pleasant or unpleasant, painful or not

and then just let them fade away. By not holding onto any experience

the mind does not become the centre of existence. Just like the

clear blue sky, they acknowledge the passing of white clouds and

will not changing its color to match the clouds. Thanks for your

words of wisdom.

Best regards.

Dear Simji

Vipassana is a power full tool but not a complete yoga.

When practicing any form of dhyan[meditation]it is important to practice

breathing techniques[ujjai in the begining] and to initially focus on giving

back to the world what the divine has given you,the day u achieve this then you

have taken the first step, before this it is just a mental exercise.

bleesings to you.
