Guest guest
dear sirs, I have been doing panch mukhi japa for some time now. I usually do my japa early mornings( between 4 to 6 a.m - usually depends on the time I wake up ) after brushing my teeth and clearing my bowels. I dont take my bath early in the morning. Is it compulsory that one should stick to the same time daily. Also could you kindly enlighten me on the right procedure to be adopted while japa. I am unable to sit in padmasana, so I sit in vajrasana while doing japa. Is there any harm in doing so. I sit on a synthetic mat covered by a bedsheet and use the thumb and the ring finger to move the beads. I dont cross the sumeru. But honestly speaking there are some days when I feel very good after the japa and some days when I feel that I am unable to connect with lord. But even on such days I finish the japa and only then start my day. I dont let the beads touch the ground while japa. Kindly enlightmen me with the correct procedure for japa. regards Sudeep (p.s: I am new to the society so please forgive any shortcomings in the procedure adopted in seeking answers) Catch all the cricket action. Guest guest
Dear Sudeepji Namaskar My Friend and welcome to our group >From what you are describeing your Practice is most acceptable and not harmful in any way. Being regular in our habits and worship is most commendable and a healthy way to live life. We know that performing Japa and Meditateing clears a lot of stress from a persons Neurophysiology. Is normal that a person might feel totally in Bliss dureing and after Worship and in addition to this there also might be times when they might not feel connected............... possibly due to the release of a great deal of stress. What a person would like to look forward to as we age and continue our practice is more days spent in Bliss and less days spent in a state where we dont feel connected My Teachers taught me that it is best to place our attention on the practice itself and not place a lot of attention on attempting to analyze the experience. This works if a person has a lot of patience with the process of balanceing Householder Duties with Spirtual Path Wishing you and Family the Best of Health Happiness Good Fortune and Success My Friend Hope this helps a little Dhanyavaad Cha Pranams Mitra DharmaDev Arya Sudeep Radhakrishnan <sudeepradhakrishnan rudraksha beadsocieties <> Friday, May 16, 2003 10:05 PM Panch mukhi japa - kindly enlighten dear sirs, I have been doing panch mukhi japa for some time now. Guest guest
Dear Sudeepji, Hi, I also practice japa, and sometimes I don't feel especially blessed either. I look on it this way--you go to work, but pay day is not every day. Perhaps you work for two weeks or a month before your employer pays you. Sometimes you do japa for a long time before anything happens. But doing japa is as working. Whether you feel the results or not, the benefit is still being saved by you by th Lord. He has it in your spiritual bank account. We can't just go by feelings. When you work, you aren't elated until payday, but the earnings have been there accumulating for you every day.Hope this doesn't sound too materialistic, but I don't know any other way to explain it. This is how I look on it in any case. Guest guest
Sat nam Dharamdeva arya, Thank you so much for the enlightenment. It helped a lot in knowing that though immediate results are not seen it does pay one over a period of time. regards Sudeep ShiningLotus <shininglotus wrote: Dear Sudeepji Namaskar My Friend and welcome to our group >From what you are describeing your Practice is most acceptable and not harmful in any way.
