SATA RUDRA ABHISHEKAM

 

( Laghu Rudram )

 

The Rudram is addressed to worship Lord Siva who is said to give

devotee who seeks his grace anythink that is asked for. Rudram

comprises of two parts, The Namakam and The Chamakam. The Namakam

signifies the devotees offering. The Chamakam signifies devotees

asking for all the things they could possibly want. Haveing been

pacified Rudra is requested to destroy the sins of those for whom it

is being chanted.

 

Also the Rudram is chanted to obtain leadership, divine benevolence,

protection from famine, freedom from fear and for absence from fear

of untimely death. It is also chanted as a shield ( Kavacha ) for

virulent fever, to cure diseases, fetal disorders, for fullfillment

of ones desires, sumptuous rainfall, family protection, Blessings

with good children, fulfillment of all material desires and the

destruction of enemies.

 

Always worshipping Shiva through Rudra Abhishekam will reduce the ill

effects of the Navagraha, especially Shani dosha and seven and half

Saturn dosha ( Sade Sati ) effect. As per Astrology, Vrishaba,

Mithuna and Karkataka rasi are faceing Sade Sati for next couple of
