Dear Members,

I personally believe that one should wear rudraksa during bath. It

seems that I have read somewear that if one hold rudraksa on the

forehead during bath and thinks of Ganga, it is the same as having

bath in the Ganga, and if one thinks of Setu, that is also very good.

I keep a set of small, inexpensive rudraksa for wearing during my

bath, and do not wear the larger or costlier ones. When the small,

inexpensive ones wear out, I, hopefully, can replace them. Also, one

should say a mantra or a hymn during one's bath. A bath without

mantra or hymn is ineffective. Barbara

I totally agree with Babraji,

Rudraksha beads are great when worn during bath and the intention is

rather important too. Just avoid the soap as much as possible with the

beads. A great mantra that one can chant while taking bath is the Maha

Gayatri Mantra:

Om Bhur Bhuva Svaha

Tat Savithur Varenyum

Bhargo Dhevesya Dheemahi

Dhiyo Yo Nah Pracodayat

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti.

Try this out and see the results

I read once that dipping the twelve faced rudraksha in water makes the water as

pure as all the holy bathing spots on earth. I then used to take baths with

some of them. In fact I have some beads used just for bathing, for times when I

am free from work and can consecrate myself to the meditational lifestyle. Then

I try to really relax and purify for a few days.
