Below is a copy of the letter I sent Neeta regarding the possibility of asking her clients to fill out a form for a Rudraksha Bead Societies Club-sponsored study of experiences with Rudraksha. Below her letter to me is another prototype form that I have fleshed out for feedback, etc. Regarding administering such a study, I am happy to receive/compile the responses. I imagine it would be best to start a database but have no experience with this. If there's anyone out there who can give pointers, that'd be great (perhaps a quickie Excel lesson, helping me set it up over the phone?) So, these are my initial thoughts on the project. Please let me know if the club would like to me to move ahead with this, or if anyone else would like to be involved or handle it (if you have better qualifications, burning desire, etc.). Kanti, I'm not sure how the club "decides" as the membership is always in flux, so I guess just evaluate response out there and make the final Yeah or Nay on this proposal. EXCERPT OF LETTER FROM ME TO NEETA: I have been posting on the Rudraksha Club about how great it would be to do our own study of people's experiences with rudrakshas, getting feedback from new purchasers, and I wondered if you would be willing to mention the study to your purchasers, telling them to contact me (or whoever collects the data) to be part of the study to further knowledge of the beads. The gist of the data collected would be like this: NAME: (optional) RUDRAKSHA USED:(i.e. how many of which faces) OTHER MATERIALS USED: (i.e. a sphatik mala, tulsi, etc.) DATE USE COMMENCED: USAGE: (i.e. wore daily 10 hours per day, or ground and ingested daily, etc.) MANTRAS USED, if any: RESULTS, INCLUDING DATES NOTICED: (i.e. energy increased tremendously, date; healed migraines, date, etc.) anticipated astrological conditions, if known: (i.e. as in do you know if your results were consistent with or differed from the current astrological conditions of your chart) astrological birth data: (optional) email address: (optional, for those who would be willing to share their experiences with others, or answer further questions by whoever analyzes the data) Let me know what you think! As mentioned before..there are different approaches and attitudes towards the rudrakshas by the various members on the site. To some, there is not going to be an appeal for doing this nor will there be any benefit..for others it will be just the opposite: there will be a tremedous energy and folks will enjoy it. Everyone knows where they stand...so its a matter of seeing who is interested and who wants to participate. Enjoy.
