As per Indian Law if a woman would just complain against injustice caused to her

within 24 hrs the accused is put behind bars.

Sati is a concept which means devotion to one man,it is considered a tapas.It is

said that if a woman lends her true support and love to a man the man can never

fail in whatever he does.It is only in the periods when invasions of the Mughals

began and when wemen were picked up and began to be raped and enslaved by the

invaders the concept developed in certain parts of Rajasthan[a border state]here

wemen chose to burn themselves at the pyre of their husbands or we can say they

chose an honourable death.It is only when illeteracy enveloped the poorer

population that in some parts this became forced i do not remember till maybe

only a few hundred years back reading of any forced burning of a woman.This was

further blown out of proportion by British authors who wanted to highlight the

good being done by their governments after the rape of the country.Sitaji is

obviously a great fan af a british historian.Why does nobody talkof the constant

invasions in a most barbaric way of India by

Afghans,Mongols,Arabs,French,portugese,dutch,huns,Moghuls,British.[Please fill

in the races which i missed].Attempts have been made by so many to annhilate so

few yet the so few have become too many.

It is a story from the puranas that when lord shiva beheaded lord ganesha,mother

parvati went into a state of fury,all the gods including the Trinity requested

her to be silent so that the world could be saved from her fury.Ma Parvati at

that time asked her son to be brought back to life and also put a condition that

before prayer is to be performed to any god first lord ganesha would be

worshipped.And so till now this practice is followed.

 

When ravana picked up Sitaji he kept her in a garden with full honours and did
