Dear Friends

The Left Handed Conch Shell is also called the Conch of the opposite

hand. Keeping its head part towards oneself its open part remains

towards the left hand of the bearer of the conch

The left hand Conch serves in making sound. It is regarder as the

Brother of the Goddess Lakshmi and favourite to Lord Visnu. During

the era of the ancient Aryan Culture it was regarded as the symbol of

lustre, brilliancy and well beginning

The Conch Shell is blown at every festival and every Auspicious

Ceremony. Its sound fills up new life in the atmosphere. No worship

is regarded complete if a conch is not blown. There is no fear of

superhuman activities and fear of ill spirits as far as the sound of

the Conch reaches

If it is blown while performing yoga activities the exercise of lungs

and respiriation is done automatically by which the body remains

without disease and cardiac disease never takes place

Right Handed Conch is called Right Handed Conch bent on the right

hand and is also called Right Handed Conch keeping its head part

towards the worshipper. Its open part remains towards the right hand

of the worshipper

According to Hindu Mythology when the Conch came out at the time of

the churning of the ocean Lord Visnu bore it in his right hand. Then

the Goddess Laxmi took birth from the ocean and Lord Visnu married

her. Therefore it has close relationshipp with the Goddess Lakshmi

If makes no difference if a person blows any conch either small or

big. The influence of the conch never lessens. It is a well

established fact that the right handed conch gives wealth and

prosperity. It is to be noted that it serves its worshipper for

progressing financially but it does not fulfil any human passion

Respected Dharmadevji,

There are two types of 'Right handed conch'. The most commonly conch of this

type does 3 ridges inside and inner side is totally plane. However, 'Right

handed conch' with 3 ridges inside is extremely rare. Its cost in Indian rupees

is few lakhs. Is there any difference for spiritual benefits in these two types

?

Thanking you and with regards.

Dear Respected Chandrashekharji

Can only speak about the Right Handed Conch Shell from Rudra Center India that

Miss Neeta has sent me.......has 3 large ridges on the inside coil of the conch

and then also a smaller ridge starting so there is actually four ridges on the

one I have here.......the ridges seem to manifest according to the internal

coils of the shell as it grows.....maybe as it grows each year it adds a coil

???

it is also smooth on the inside edge of the mouth area as you describe.....This

is the only right hand conch I know of so do not have infromation regarding

differences

Maybe someone else on the group site can help with this also

Thanks and Take Care My Friend
