Dear Sy,

Namaskar

You mentioned that rudraksha.co.uk is getting beads from Hardwar?

Where did you read that? I read their site, they do not sell any as

far as they are claiming. They state that they do not sell Rudraksha

but recommend other sites. That is why it is strange that their

ratings page is not up. I emailed them today and asked why. They

also have give some quite strong definite statements about

Rudraksha, such as:

"The Rudraksha has to be treated right from the moment it is plucked

off the tree, otherwise the only purpose it can serve is as a button

on your shirt..."

"..all beads from an original Rudraksha tree are not genuine and all

don't have the same power. In fact only one bead in hundreds has the

magic powers that can greatly influence your life."

"..each bead must be purified thru' ancient rituals and energised

thru' rigorous Homa, which lasts for 41 days, before being securely

packed. After purification, no human hands must touch the bead or it

gets contaminated."

"ALWAYS wear the Rudraksha bead around the neck in a thread or gold

or silver. Never wear the Rudraksha in form of bracelet."

"NEVER wear the Rudraksha while having sex."

"WOMEN must not wear the Rudraksha during their menstrual cycle."

"NEVER wear the Rudraksha to a funeral or when visiting a new born

baby."

"INCORRECT RUDRAKSHA BEADS HAVE KNOWN TO HAVE PROVED FATAL IN

EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES"

Any comments? Well, maybe I should ask them first..! :-)

Namaste Oleji,

I did not "say" or make a statemet; I said : "guess".. Also didn't

say they *sell*. What I meant was the pics seem to be of beads that

*may be* from a source in Hardwar. But the Mother source may still be

India and Nepal. For example: I've seen beads worn by swamis in

Australia and recognized them to be from a source in Monghyr. These

beads also came from different Mother sources in India and Nepal.

I'd visisted Patna and other parts of India in 1980 when Mumbai was

still called Bombay.

No comments about their strong statements about Rudraksha. Please

ask them first :-)

Dear Sy

Namaskar

Thank you for the info and clarifications.

I cannot find any pics of any beads at the UK site you refer to as

coming from Hardwar. Did I misunderstand?

The various strong statements on precautions from this particular

website about wearing Rudraksha, anyone here knows if they are

statements coming from vedic scripture itself or merely claims from

these people based on Indian folklore?

This informartion about rigorous 41-day Homa for blessing is

interesting. In this connection, can anyone give more information

about the blessing of Rudraksha beads from Rudra Centre in the

temple in Nagpur, not much information on website except pictures.

Appreciate all input from people here. I heard from Ms. Neetha again

and received additional recommendation, possibly adding 14 or 16

Mukhi to order of my mala next month. Incidentally, when Rudraksha

are attached to silver spacer, can they easily be unhooked from each

other, so as to try mala with different bead combinations for

energetic comparisons?

Thank you very much,

Love, Ole

Dear Oleji

Namaskar My Friend....back from trip and found your message here.....about a

year ago we found thiss website is a front for AstrologyMantra.com in UK and

working with another company here in the US....AstrologyMantra.com is the one

that charges $100 per bead and claims to have better Blessings and Beads than

anyone else......the reason they do not have their rateings page up on the

website mentioned is because in 2002 Hanuman Limited in the US made up a

list..... of most all the international dealers...... and said we were all

selling fake beads.....This was protested by Rudra Centre India and one other

international company and then Rudra Center America threatened them with a legal

action and they complied with our request to desist in their illegal action and

they removed the page from their site

Thanks and Take Care

Dear DharmaDev Aryaji,

Pranams

Thank you very much for this information. I had all along strong

intuitive feelings about this website that something was not quite

right, especially when these central pages were not available to

back up their claims, I was actually speculating they might even

have encountered some legal problems, but now I know these details

from you. That is very helpful. Thank you very much for that.

I was hoping you may have some comments about my latest postings...

I read somewhere that they got in trouble, and had to take down their

ratings page. Some sellers apparently accused them of posting skewed

ratings, for their own commercial ends.

Hi all,

I saw this site quite some time ago and sent them an email but never heard from

them subsequently.

I had posted on this board sometime ago asking if time of birth is important for

recomenndations. According to the replies I had received, I was told it is not.

However, some jyotishes I have spoken to have told me that astrological details

are very important. The site above also makes very strong suggestions to the

same. It even goes further in saying that a wrong rudraksha recommendation can

be disastrous.

If you look at the membership credentials of this site, it is very impressive,

but as Ole pointed out, the links do not work.

Regards,

Rajiv

This just from personal experience. I initially started to wear

rudraksham for astrological reasons. I was told I was about to have a

fairly disasterous Rahu Mahadasa by several jyotishis.

I was then advised that, unlike gem therepy, one cannot wear

a "wrong" rudraksha. That is, rudrahsham can enhance the effects of

benefic planets, and also pacify malefic planets. They cannot

exacerbate the effects of malefic planets.

I now wear all of the beads from 1-13, some in multiples, every day.

The disasters predicted for the Rahu period did not happen. I also

don't worry about astrology, anymore.

I found that BEFORE I wore the beads, my Vedic horoscope was quite

accurate. AFTER I wore the beads for a period of time, it was not. I

think the beads are breaking up karmic patterns, rendering astrolgy

superfluous.

In summary, I think that wearing the beads will take one "past" the

limitations of astrology, and connect one with limitlessness. I don't

think that wearing them can cause any harm. I have only benefitted

from them, myself.

Dear Rajivji

Namaskar My Friend and thank you for your message........goodness yes is most

important to recommend from knowing correct birth time....both Astrological and

Ikshanika recommendations prefer to know at least a persons birth

time......there are also other perfect ways to determine correct recommendations

for a person however most all of us who recommend would like to know the

physical birth time also

Yes agree with the need for a perfect balanced recommendation to prevent to many

good things happening to a person at one time......meaning if a person gets all

they ask for all at once in same 40 day discipline they would not be able to

integrate this in their life in a peaceful manner........is like a double edged

sword.....for example we dont recommend the 13 Mukhi Lord Indra KamaDeva

Rudraksa as a single bead to be worn for the first 40 days because in plain

speaking this Rudraksa attracts....EVERYTHING.....the wearer desires

Wearing this Holy Rudraksa by itself means a person has to monitor their

conscious and subconscious thought and this is a mostly impossible task.......to

compensate for the power of this Holy Rudraksa we add the 4 Mukhi Lord Brahma

Rudraksa for creative intelligence and Knowledge with the 6 Mukhi Lord Kartikeya

Rudraksa that saves from worldly sorrows......the effect of adding these beads

in pairs strung mouth part to mouth part with the 13 Mukhi...... on a wearing

Mala....... is that a person develops Discrimination in the process of getting

all they desire....meaning they have the Discrimination to choose what is best

for them and reject that which too much for them at the present moment

Balanced Recommendations are most important

Thanks and Take Care My Friend

Regards,

Rajiv

^^^^^^^^^^^ Some folklore (from top to middle), some from scriptures

around the last several paragraphs. Hard to recall all 4 Vedas,

Puranas, Tantras, Samhitas, etc. etc. etc.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Wonder which temple, ashram, guru, swami, sadhu, Naga-

baba, Aghori and other holy places and men would perform 41-day

ritual every time there is a harvest of beads. There are many paths

to God just as there are as many grains of rice on earth. A simple

ritual done with pure heart, even by an amateur, would be blessed by

the gods who see, hear and know. If one charges those prices, one

should perhaps do a 108 day ritual :-)

Dear Kari,

Thank you very much for sharing your personal experience and

insights on this, it is most encouraging to me to read this as I am

order my mala from Rudra Centre around the 1st September, with the

hopes of somehow being able to deserve some Divine Blessings through

Mercy of Rudraksha to become purified and attain strength in the

road ahead of my life.

Thanks,
