Having just now repaired my 13 with fours and sixes bracelet (for the

third time), I would say that no, it probably doesn't mean anything.

Namaste Satishji:

My Durga Shakti bracelet broke in less than a week.

For myself, I saw this as a sign that Durga Devi had banished a

tremendous amount of negativity in my life that was literally life

threatening.

Malas breaking are always a sign of karma being released and to have

a Durga braclet break, tells the wearer that Shri Durga Devi has

restored their life to wholeness and happiness free from suffering.

I suggest having it re-strung and you can then enter into a deeper

loving relationship with Devi.

Namaskar Satishji,

Namaskar Satishji,

>From my very humble experience of this sort of happenings, Maa Durga

has dispeled/removed something negative or malefic. The 70th day

means "removal successful" (according to my private numerology

system) of charting these occurences since age 9 when my Preceptor

most kindly bestowed upon me the very first mala.

Would recommend that you repair/re-string the bracelet, do some puja

and wear it again. The synergistic combination of beads for this

unique bracelet is excellent.

Namaste! to all!

I enjoy reading all of your messages, however, due to the nature of my work,

I am not able to participate in the same manner as you all, [rather

unfortunate], however, everything has a reason.

I have had 3 [108 beaded] malas break on me, and I would like to share my

experiences.

A few years ago, my best friends husband, was near death, and his prognosis

was very grim, to make the long story short, he had a brain aneurism. Alot

of people were praying for him around the world, including myself. I was

chanting a healing mantra for 100,000 times. It took me 3 weeks, however, I

did complete it and toward the end of my lent, the japa mala broke. I kinda

assumed that it was a bad omen, kept it to myself and didnot share this

information with anyone. Well to my astonishment, he survived, and

recovered fully, [back to norm.], whereas the doctors had given him 5%

survival rate, or in coma for the rest of his, life, and if he ever, came

out of the coma, he'd be paralyzed from waist down.

The second mala broke not too long ago, a red coral mala which was brand

new, I used it to chant only only one mala of Durga mantra, 'Om Aim Rim Klim

Chamundai Vicchay'. Previously, I have chanted this mantra and also

performed Homa. However, chanted only once with the red coral mala and it

broke.

The third experience, I had only last week, with my brand new Sphatik

[crystal] mala. I had finished chanting a mantra for 10,000, the

instructions that I followed for chanting this mantra ....[to attain siddhi

of this mantra ...chant 10, 000 times]. After completing the 10,000, the

next day when I chanted it for one more time, the mala broke.

All three of my malas broke just as I finished chanting the 108 times, just

before the 109th bead.

Namaste Ladaji:

All in all, a mala breaking is a sign of accelerated spiritual growth

and the release of old patterns, karma and bondage. It is always a

good sign.

Coming from the side of making and repairing malas, I have seen

breaks that really defy logic as to how a particular mala has broke.

Might have mention beads being returned cracked or looking like they

have exploded.

Remember that malas contain the essence of the devata: rudraksha as

well as gem..That deity has simply absorbed negativity for you and

broken ties for you that may have taken lifttimes to release.

Many thanks to you for sharing this with us.

ThankQ so much. I appreciate all the positive feedback. I had one other

bazzaaaarrr experience. After I participated in the 'Durga Homa' , nine

malas of homa was done with the mantra I mentioned previously. While

performing the homa, I had wished that the homa would continue on, and I

did not want it to end [at least for a few more hours], however, the priest

ended it whenever it was suppose to end. A few days after, about two inches

in size, reddish brown in color, an OM symbol appeared on my right hand

closer to my elbow. When I first noticed it, I thought it was 'eye shadow',

so I tried to wash it off, as I was running late for work. After I got to

work, I noticed it was still there, then I showed it to an [indian girl], a

collegue of mine, and her mouth dropped open, and she touched my hand and

touched her forehead and brought her palms into prayer position. When other

collegues noticed, just in passing they said 'Oh! you that's a nice tattoo'.

This symbol stayed for about a year or more and then slowly faded away.

Namaste Ladaji,

Pranaam

Thank you for sharing your experiences. These are "signposts" of your

spiritual development or personal evolvement.

Maa Durga heard your wish about not wanting the homa to end. You were

then blessed with the "internal homa" for one year. The tattoo was an

indication of Her Grace, Blessings and Protection. She can be very

approachable when one's heart is pure. Different Gods/Goddesses or

forms of Shiva/Maa grace us at different times in our lives.

Have the eyes no tears, the soul would not know joy.

Hello To All

I bought a mala from Neetaji before few days. I had Rudrabhishekam done by a

hindu priest on Nag Panchami Day. I wore it for four days & it broke. Looks poor

workmanship to me, any suggestions?

Thanks

Ashok

Namaste Ashokji:

Please note past postings on malas breaking as well as those listed

in the Files Section of Discussion Group Site under Subject Index.

I once made a pair of wrist malas for two women who specifically

wanted them to wear to a puja.. They both broke after the puja.

Prior to that the only broken wrist malas we had reported to us at

Rudra Center America were those that people had owned for quite some

time and it was due to normal wear and tear.

I have not had an incident since then.

Poor worksmanship?

Coincidence??

Karma Breaking ??

Suppose it is a matter of individual perception.

I do know that we are constantly testing new materials and methods of

implementation to do all we can to assure that malas do not break due

to error on our part.

Rudrabhishekams are extraordinarily powerful and of course would be

in alignment with the Shakti that is contained in the rudraksha.

It is a matter of individual free will if one will accept the

blessings poured out to them by Lord Rudra that manifests in the act

of a broken mala or choose to be closed to such graces.

We would be pleased to restring the mala for you

Om Namah Shivaya
