Guest guest
Dear All, I am looking for contacts to bottled water companies in India who are bottling pristine Ganga Jal water from the higher areas around the Gangotri Glacier. So far, I have had no luck finding company websites, only this link http://www.ishopindian.com/shop/customer/product.php? productid=22827&cat=62&page=1 But I know from friends there are several brands available in India, yet in 2001 I passed through Delhi going to South India and could not find any Ganga Jal bottled water anywhere. Can anyone here assist? Thanks, Ole
Guest guest
Hi Ole, I get Ganga Jal at a local Indian Grocery here in Atlanta. You might try that if there are any in Denmark. If you cross the channel, I'm sure you can find some in Britain. Guest guest
Hi Arjuna, WOW! Ganga Jal at the local indian grocery in Atlanta! Farout. A few times Kali Yuga has its advantages or what?! ;-) I have not seen that in the Indian groceries here in Copenhagen, but perhaps they could get it for me. I will ask. Which company brand do you get? Is there only one, the one from Haridwar? If possible, send me some details about this brand so I perhaps can find a company website or contact them. Interesting you should mention Britain as I am signed up for the September Q1 level 1 seminar with David Wagner next month. Thanks for the info, hope you received the mail I sent you yesterday. Guest guest
Hi Ole - Ganga jal in blue plastic bottles is sold at the Hari Krishna Centre in Moundsville, West Virginia in their "Palace Store". It is $8 per bottle and includes "1008 Tirthas" or Ganges water from 1008 different sites. Also, the TM Movement sells it (or used to sell it). Some sources you can check out.... regards, alan >"alstrup" <alstrup > > >RBSC : OT: Ganga Jal water >Thu, 28 Aug 2003 09:56:20 -0000 > >Dear All, > >I am looking for contacts to bottled water companies in India who >are bottling pristine Ganga Jal water from the higher areas around >the Gangotri Glacier. Guest guest
Hi Alan, Many thanks for that referral. Haribol! I actually drank some of the 1008 Tirthas in 1996 during the SRILA PRABHUPADA CENTENNIAL SAHASRA TIRTHA JALA MAHA ABHISHEKA. See more at http://www.afn.org/~centennl/centkals.htm Is there an online store where I can purchase it from the devotees in West Virginia? Thanks! Robsteve
Ganga Jal (GangaJal, Gangaa Jal, Gangaajal, Holy water) -- Dear Sirs & Guruji, As a ardent believer in Hinduism & it's mythology, and due to my long association with the ISKCON & OSHO movement - I have been experimenting on my own. I have a question for all of you? and the quaestion is based on my real-life experiences? * recently I happened to buy some Gangaajal from this lady, who has listed her items on ebay.in - and the truth is I did not knew - Gangaajal could have tasted so good. Even the advertisers response was very good. So I am recommending to all of you to visit the link listed below or contact her at "RSCOMMN at (DOT) COM" * and now I have my questions, which are as follows . - I have been used to collecting raw water from River ganges right from GOMUKH to it's Delta BASIN - and using it for all my rites & consuming it as per the Guruji's advice. The water does look murky downstream but I had no complaints. - However, this lady advises and claims to have used R.O. filteration process & insists on using right packaging materials. _ My question now is - Is it still Gangaa Jal after filtertion???, even I have my doubts ??? - secondly, if Gangaa Jal is - what it is meant to be - Gangaajal jal sourced from any point right from it's origin till it meets the seas is supposed to be gangaajal. _ Personally, I have travelled on foot along the ganges - and I happened to notice - that Gangaa Jal does not mean water from the Gangotri Glacier alone. - It is a mighty river - containing feeds from not just one but thousand of little natural mineral water springs, rivulets, and of course from - Bhagirathi, alaknanda & so on. Even the seasonal rivers (during monsoon) contribute to it. Any comments & suggestions shall be much appreciated - in view of so many suppliers on the net claiming to offer you the real thing. However, I would like to comment that this lady on ebay.in is doing miracles, trying to offer real good Gangaa jal at very honest prices & that too in healthy PET bottles. Initially, I too had my doubts - but I am requesting everyone to give it a try. Thanks for reading this. Any comments & suggestions shall be much appreciated. Robert Stevenson, Oslo, Norway.
