Guest guest
Kirk posted references to some studies, just recently. I keep running across an Indian study re: the pharmacological properties of rudraxan, but I can't access the document. I've run across a number of references to pharmaceutical companies, such as Eli Lilly, Squibb, and Merck researching a particular chemical in elaeocarpus. But these are mostly seminar schedule postings, to discuss the research-- no actual methodologies or results are published on the Net. There are also references to the use of rudraksham for epilepsy, but... same problem. In addition, there are also references to Aussie researches on the pharmacological properties of quadongs, which are Australian varieties of elaeocarpus. Same problem. I did find something specific, once. I sent it to DDji, who sent it to Neetaji. The results references CNS depressant, antibacterial, and antifungal effects of a chemical component of the beads. So, yes, I think that there is both ethnomedicinal and formal experimental documentation of medicainal applications. But, I think a lot of it is either intra-industry or proprietary. I also once tracked down an ethnobotanist who I thought might have some information. But, his specialty turned out to be in a slightly different geographical area. I've been trying to dig up Net research, off and on, for several months. The really interesting thing is the number of seminars, that I have run across, on the subject, with presentations by major pharmaceutical companies. Makes ya wonder JUST what they're talking about. makes ya wanta attend one. Except I don't speak chemistry. In fact, I think I got a "D" in it. You might check out David's Rudra Center w/s, in Sweden. I think he digs through the Net, on a regular basis. He often has good stuff, about the pharm, and he seems to update fairly frequently. K. Oh, BTW-- looks like the Hawaiians also make necklaces of a variety of the beads. They look like ugly threes, though. , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > I am wondering if there has been any scientific research done to > ascertain if wearing Rudraksha beads has a protective effect on the > human body against manmade EMF/ELFs through their bioelectric > effects? > > How many scientist in India and abroad have studied effects of > Rudraksha? > Any compiled books with all the detailed reports on the scientific > research into effect on humans with Rudraks
