I heard that Ketu antardasha is malefic. Can anyone suggest any remedy to overcome the difficulties during that period? Which mukhi/mantra is good to overcome malefic effects of ketu? Guest guest Posted September 1, 2003 Report Share Posted September 1, 2003 Ketu isn't malefic. The moon's lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu are considered prime for entering and leaving situations. Rahu being the head of the dragon is symbolic of entering a new situation. It is where one is born in the rashi. Ketu is where one leaves. Better put, ketu is quite significant for moksha, and wearing any combination of rudraksha will enhance the liberating qualities of ketu. I specifically recommend the eight and nine faced beads for Ganesha and Durga. Durga is the liberator, and also the nine faced bead is for ketu, so the nine faced bead should help guide your boat through this entire Mahadasha. Don't fear. This can be a really great time, especially for spiritual studies. Guest guest Posted September 1, 2003 Report Share Posted September 1, 2003 Since you are already wearing 1-13, you are wearing all of the beads that pacify all of the planets. 10,11, and 12 area called the "Om Shanti" combination, because they control and pacify all of the planets. I forget which bead also pacifies Ketu, but it is one of the ones that you are wearing. You are wearing MORE than enough kavacham. I don't think you need any other astrological remedies. BTW-- You will probably find that wearing the beads breaks up so many of your karmic energy patterns, that you are no longer subject to your birth chart, in any case. Just to say that Ketu Dasha is malefic is too much of a generalization. It really depends on your chart and all the factors concerning Ketu, ie., it's sign and house position, conjunctions and aspects to it, the overall strength of it's lord, etc... many things must be considered. Also, the relationship between the Dasha and Bhukti lord is very important as are the transits of the Dasha lord. A very positive Dasha can become difficult during a particular Bhukti or during a specific transit of the Dasha lord. For example, as an Aries lagna with Guru in Sagittarius, you may have a very powerful Guru Dasa in general, but during his transit of Capricorn, his debilitation sign - results may be much less forthcoming. Same may be true during Rahu's Bhukti in Guru Dasha if Rahu is in the eighth or twelfth.
