Guest guest
No, the scriptures say that rudraksha are already the body of Shiva, and the other devas without pranapratishta. In the same way as Shalagrama and Narmadeshwar lingas. - Tiina Agur Friday, September 05, 2003 8:07 AM RBSC : Pranapratishta Dear all, yours truly is about to begin assembling her own special siddh' mala ! Just wanted to let you know. Can't even began to describe the feeling ... I've been taking photos of Rudraksham all afternoon and am as high as a kite. The question is - Pranapratishtam is not necessary, is it? Not like yantra or an yother man-made object? Will a puja, something out of my heart, be sufficient ? I'll be sure to post a photo of the mala when it's ready - my first home-made one... Wish me luck ! Guest guest
Many people prefer their malas blessed by a Hindu priest. However, we know that the beads are born devine, and are manifestations of the Gods themelves. Thus they work whether blessed or unblessed by a priest. There is a scripture that so states, but I can't find it, at the moment. Yantram and silver and copper kavacham have to be blessed, and then occasionally re-blessed as they lose their "charge." They have dasa. Rudraksham are born charged, and do not have dasa. They never lose their charge. That's why people are able to pick them up off the ground and make them into diferent healing healing products (different according to mukhi), without having them blessed. How a plant can have profound electro-magnetic effects on the mind, body and spirit is a great blessing and mystery. It goes WAY beyond just the phytochemistry of the plant. I think that blessing them with a puja from your heart will be a very powerful and beautiful thing to do. I think it will give your relationship with your mala a very major "head start." Please DO post a photo of your mala. Much love, K. , "Tiina Agur" <xenamacbeal> wrote: > Dear all, yours truly is about to begin assembling her own special > siddh' mala ! I think it will give your relationship with your mala a very major "head start." Indeed, doing puja and showing devotion both shows humility and willingness to accept God's grace in your life, ands also gives a purpose or kalpa for the beads to give God a sense of direction in how to help. These acts clear obstacles to desire fulfillment.

Guest guest
Hello Tinaji, If U R in USA depending on the state & location pl find an Indian Brahman who can perform rudrabhisheka on Mala, it will be a great ritual for pure connection. If not just use a CD/ Audio for rudraabhisheka & pour Milk, water, rose water, perfume ( itra, or essential oil) sandalwood oil etc, mix them up & pour on the beads until that audio continues, then wash with pure clean water, do incense stick( Dhoop), give flowers, lite a lamp( Diva) ask for blessings, connect to divine & say OM 8 times & wear it on an auspicious day. I am not a priest.By doing this ritual, Mala will not be merely an object for you but will become a divine angel. This is My opinion, I did that on my Mala, though it started showing effect even before that, But Mala was already was blessed by Neetaji in Bombay. I ask the divine for forgiveness if I wrote something which is not correct. Normally my intuition works good. May be blessed by unconditional love & divinity. Guest guest
Hi there everyone - I create my own malas from time to time and what works for me is mantra japa throughout the process. By the time it is finished, there is a lot of good, sattvic energy and that can only be helpful... love, alan >Ashok Sanghavi <gfg1988 > > >Re: RBSC : Pranapratishta >Fri, 5 Sep 2003 21:00:15 -0700 (PDT) > >Hello Tinaji, >If U R in USA depending on the state & location pl find an Indian Brahman >who can perform rudrabhisheka on Mala, it will be a great ritual for pure >connection.
