I mentioned that some people "work up" to the higher-mukhi beads,

because they believe that to start with the high ones might be

"jarring." The theory here is that one should get one's energies

acclimated to the lower mukhi beads first.

 

I also mentioned that that had not been my experience. I started with

1-13, and the acclimation was very smooth. I had one minor side

effect-- my throat chakra felt unusually warm, for a few days, during

sleep. I have not worn higher than 13, yet. However, I do intend to

get a 14.

 

People who wear the higher mukhis (maybe 14 and above) in pairs have

said that they can get a little too "blissed out" to attend to mundane

matters. So, they sometimes get used to the energies gradually.
