Query on Ganesh and 8 Mukhi Rudra

Hello All

 

The 8 mukhi and Ganesh rudra both represent lord Ganesh. Apart from

the apperance is there are difference? Which one does one buy.

Although the 8 mukhi and Ganesh Rudraksha both are the dwelling place

of Shri Ganesha, the qualities are different.

 

With the Ganesh bead..you will find the trunk on any mukhi rudraksha..

So depending on which kind you get..the obstacles that are being

removed by Ganapati will be pertaining to the qualities of that faced

bead. Generally 5 and 7 mukhi are most common.

 

With the 8 faced Rudraksha, you also have the bestowal of great joy.

The bead overcomes all obstacles of planet Rahu.

It rids the wearer of all miseries and grants great siddhis.

 

So it is simply a matter of what you want to accomplish in deciding

which bead to get.

Dear Vandanaji,

 

In puranas 1-14 mukhi are descibed in detail and 8

mukhi represents Lord Ganesha, I suggest you to go for

8 mukhi rudraksha now. Ganesh Rudraksha was found

later, may due to limited knowledge during time of

puranas there is no desciption of Ganesh rudraksha.

But if you budget permits you can also procure Ganesh

Rudraksha.
