Guest guest
Namaste David, Unreal. Notice the 3 pics look exactly the same size, same color, same surface "resinY look". Still, beauty, quality and the "real thing" are in the eyes of the beholder :-) Om Namah Shivaya Sy , "zarembadavid" <rudra@g...> wrote: > Is it Real ? > > and > > Is it a Rudraksha ? : > > > Eakhamukhi Rudraksha - Nepal Price: $3,800.00 > > http://www.hindushops.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv? > Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=H&Category_Code=R > > > * if the link does not work just copy the link and paste it > in the URL / WWW finder at the top of the page
Guest guest
Dear Respected Davidji Namaskar My Friend and thank you for all the Good Work you are doing....especially our weekly Rudraksa Quotes on our Group Site....is always a pleasure to see the findings from your research each week Went to website mentioned and is a most Beautiful website......the first three pictures of the Eka Mukhi are all the same Bead...so something is meant to be misleading about the way they are representing these three pictures........all Beads shown are same Bead picture and one is listed from Ceylon and one from Indonesia and one from Nepal......this is another indicator of problem with proper representation of the Holy Rudraksa Holy Rudraksa Bead shown in first three pictures is actually an oblong Bead from India......that we work with at Rudra Centre.....and one that we really Love to wear..........Is called an Indian Oblong Bead and these Beads in this shape grow the 2 Mukhi India Oblong Bead and the 3 Mukhi India Oblong Bead Then their 2 Mukhi Bead picture is also an oblong Bead from India and they took the picture with different lighting and turned the bead on its side so you cannot see the Mukhis....dont know exactly what their intent might be here because they have the ability to take a picture of this Bead in the same lighting as the other Beads and with at least one of the Mukhis showing The 3 Mukhi Bead Picture is most likely a picture of another 2 Mukhi Oblong Bead because the 3 Mukhi Lord Agni Rudraksa usually has the 3 Mukhis equally divided on the Bead so that at least One of the Mukhis always shows in any picture that is ever taken of this Highly Auspicious Rudraska Conclusion would be they really dont have all the information needed regarding authentic and counterfiet Rudraksa and a wholesaler from Nepal has probably set them up with counterfiet Beads without them knowing.....this is really sad to see because their site is absolutely Beautiful Is standard practice in Nepal to have two groups of Rudaksa for sale......one real and one counterfiet and some Distributors in Nepal will mix the two groups to confuse people......in addition the exterior surface and the way the Mukhis are being seen on the remaining pictures of Beads shows me a lightly textured surface of surface protrusions and reminds me of the lighter Indonesian Rudraksa that are grown in a different climate than the heavier Nepal Beads Only way a person can really tell on the One Mukhi is to buy one and boil in water for about 30 minutes to see if the glue they are useing to fill in one of the Mukhis on a Two Mukhi Bead will float out of the Mukhi...if the glue is water soluable the filler they use on the other Mukhi will float out and you will see exactly what Mukhi Bead they are useing If the glue is a more advanced chemical makeup the you have to place Bead in solution of Nirtous Oxide for a short time and the glue filler will dissolve Other than that you can send to Rudra Center Free Authentication Service in Mumbai or in the US and we can Authenticate for anyone Problem is we have never found quantity in a Natural One Mukhi Bead......almost 99% have all been fake....so if anyone does buy they need to have guarantee of return Thanks and Take Care My Friends DharmaDev zarembadavid <rudra <> Sunday, September 21, 2003 6:14 AM RBSC : Eakhamukhi Rudraksha Price: $3,800.00 Is it Real ? and Is it a Rudraksha ? : Eakhamukhi Rudraksha - Nepal Price: $3,800.00 http://www.hindushops.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv? Guest guest
Dear Zarembadavid, I checked the website you have mentioned. The 'Ek Mukhi Rudraksha' shown on the website is called as 'Haridwar Ek Mukhi' in India. Actually it is a variation of a 'Three mukhi oblong round Rudraksha'. In this type we also get 'Two mukhi oblong Haridwar Rudraksha' and also 'Four mukhi oblong Rudraksha'. The 'Ek mukhi' and 'Four mukhi' are rarely seen in this type. Most of the time (but definitely not always) there is cheating by removing one of the cleft of 'Two mukhi' of this type converting it into a 'Ek mukhi'. We have to first observe it very critically and carefully. I have colleced some of such beads and boiled it for few hours and also treated with nitrous oxide as suggested on this club site. I got very few geniune 'Ek Mukhi in this type'. Cost of this type in INR is from Rs. 2500/- to Rs. 5000/- and definitely not more than this. However, it is interesting to make a note from the site that all the three pictures shown are of the same type under different names as 'Ek Mukhi (Ceylone)', 'Ek Mukhi (Indonesia)' and 'Ek Mukhi (Nepal)'. Rates are also different. Cent per cent it is not a 'Ek Mukhi Nepal type'. Nepal type bead is completely round and is extremely rare bead. Very few people have it. It is generally in the possession of 'Four Shankaracharyas of Hindu Peeth' and of few Yogis. Thanking you and with best wishes. Guest guest
Dear Sri Chandrashekharji Namaste & Pranaam Sincere thanks for bestowing your magnificent darshan on us. We are very blessed to have you. Your knowledge and comments are always invaluable. May I ask a question: In Haridwar, did you happen to go around the time of Khumbha Mela? I saw a documentary and noticed a lot of Heads of the 10 Hindu Classical Schools were wearing all kinds of rudraksha, including some Nagababas, sadhus, yogis, etc. etc. That was during Khumbha Mela. What I'm interested in, is actually the diamond-cut Sphatik (crystals) Malas some of them were wearing. These sphatik malas are Huge..! bigger than golf balls it seems. Just wondering and curious, that's all. If you've seen these, I would be most obliged if you can comment, thank you. Guest guest
Dear Syzenith, Thank you for your mail. I am very sorry to note that I have not seen big Sphatik Mala so far. I also do not have much idea about the authentic characterisation of Sphatik. However, one of the character I noticed from real small sphatik that it has very thin milky white partition like inclusions in it. Thanking youl and with regards.
