Dear Tiinaji

Namaskar My Friend and thank you for your message......The only One Mukhi Round

I have ever seen was in a picture we had on our website when we started and is

an Indonesian Bead owned by Father of Miss Neeta.......all other beads we have

seen or authenticated have been fake.....Sorry however the Swami has been

misinformed regarding the sale of.....authentic one mukhi Round Beads......you

can buy one mukhi round from Central Chinmaya Mission in Mumbai for about US

$500 however the Bead Miss Neeta bought there about a year ago turned out to be

a fake after she boiled it in water.........the glue came out of one of the

Mukhis of a two mukhi nepal bead......high probability the other one mukhis they

sell are fake also......the one mukhi round counterfiet market is a healthy

market and are sold from US $250 to $500 to $1000 however have never seen a

realy one Mukhi in person....contrary to this the Chinmaya Mission in Delhi does

not sell fake beads

People can also buy fake beads from a person in Nepal named Suresh Basnet at

RudraksaNepal.com

When we were trying to do business with him he told us he could sell us fake

beads and nobody would know the difference......as I have said before I dont

agree with this as we have authenticated many beads between home office in

Mumbai and American Office here and we have not missed one fake bead

Yes the authentic One Mukhi Round is totally scarce and there is no reason for a

Family who collects one of these from the Rudraksa Forest to sell this Highly

Auspicious Rudraksa as it represents the Highest Spiritual Values and Merits of

any of the Holy Rudraksa representing Lord Shankar Himself

There may be this Bead in Nepal with some of the collector families however

again there is no reason to ever sell a Bead like this........dont see how

anyone could sell a One Mukhi Round

Hope this helps

Thanks and Take Care My Friend

RBSC : Question to DharmaDevaji

Dear DharmaDevaji,

As you clearly have the most extensive first-hand knowledge on

Rudraksh, I would now like to ask this directly from you:

Have you ever seen a real 1 mukhi round in your life?

And if yes, what does it look like? You said in your mail on the

subject, that 99% of the beads brought in for testing turn out to be

false. But what about the remaining 1 per cent? Does RudraCenter

India own one, or a picture of one? Where can it be found: in Nepal,

Indonesia or India? What is the reason for its scarcity? Extinction

of the trees? Is there a tree that grows only 1 mukhi rounds or are

they like a 4 leaved clover, an exception?

Or is a 1 mukhi round just a myth?

I recently asked a Swami from Rishikesh, our yoga teacher, about 1

mukhi round and he said that they could be bought from ashrams, that

they were not that rare after all and their price would be about 50

USD. Was the Swami misinformed?

Again, I must repeat that I am not asking this question in order to

buy a bead, but to understand.

Provided there was such a bead, wouldn't it be a good idea to post a

picture of it on the Rudra Center's website, in addition to the

pictures of the fake beads. Then everyone would know what a 1 mukhi

bead really looks like, instead of just guessing.

I am looking forward to your answer

Hari Om
