Guest guest
I think you design intuitively, so you might just end up doing that! The best crafted and most beautifully designed malas I have EVER seen, ANYWHERE, were made by our own Kantiji and DDji. They are both meticulous crafters. I suspect they design using a combination of knowledge of Vedic symbology, gem lore, and their highly developed intuition. When they are back on-line, you might want to draw on their expertise. Meanwhile, you might want to check out the pix on the w/s. Kanti designed the Goddess and Divinity collections. Much love, your sister, K. , "Tiina" <xenamacbeal> wrote: > You know what my wildest dream is - to make malas for other people. > > Love ya > Tiina > > , "karisprowl" > <karisprowl@e...> wrote: > > You know, working on your mala is an excellent meditation, and a > > primo was to begin interlacing your energies with those of the > > beads. > > > > Love, K. > > > > , "Tiina" > > <xenamacbeal> wrote: > > > Thank you Kariji, I asked Miss Neeta too and yes you are right: > > > that's the way it's supposed to be, only with very small beads > > it's > > > sometimes hard to tell, which is the mouth and which is the > tail... > > > So - on with the beadwork ! Guest guest
Namaste Tiinaji, I also do work with crystals in my healing practice. It is important to clear them between uses. As with many processes, intention is the key. Hold the beads in your dominant hand and concentrate on the intention of clearing their energy. When this is clearly in focus in hale and then exale sharply those the nose with the intention to clear them. They can also be cleansed through burial in the earth for up to 30 days, or placed in a running stream in a mesh bag for several days if the stream is clear. There are other techniques, but this should give you a start. Then when you use them set the intention of creating something holy and helpful. In restringing malas or making other holy objects, including laddoos , I like to chant mantras. I hope this helps. Happy creating! Arjuna Tiina <xenamacbeal wrote: Guess what i've been doing this afternoon ... going over the early group files, the correspondence between DDji and Kantiji on their designs and malas - and looking at the Divinity collection on RR website. Isn't it something though, just before you mentioned it... There are such beautiful beads on ebay - old chinese and tibetan craft, and they hardly cost anything at all: coral amber, milky pink quartz... I was thinking how they would blend with Rudraksha. The only thing is that that being so old, they definitely have a history, and I'm not sure about that. I wonder if re-arranging them in a new combination and with Rudraksha would give them "a new start"? Guest guest
Yes, I think they would! if you want to cleanse them of old vibes before stringing, you can leave them on a dish of salt for 24 hours-- if they are made of stuff that the salt won't corrode. , "Tiina" <xenamacbeal> wrote: > Guess what i've been doing this afternoon ... going over the early > group files, the correspondence between DDji and Kantiji on their > designs and malas - and looking at the Divinity collection on RR > website. Guest guest
Tiina: One other way of clearing out the negative energy is, to bury the object in seasalt [closed lid] for three days, the fourth day, dump the seasalt down the drain or flush is down, and then wash with clean water, milk etc....incense, and the light of the deepam, or white candle. The seasalt is very powerful....feel negative, take a dive in the ocean, helps me, I love swimming in the sea. Lada L. Yes I am sure the techniques you described help - and intention above all... What had me concerned was that these beads are really old - antique - they say, and God only knows how they ended up to be sold on e-bay for next to nothing. Have you had any experience with clearing the "history" of crystals that had belonged to someone for a long time ? (I hope I'm making sense). Guest guest
Dear Tiinaji, Remember that energy is energy. Just because it has been there a long time doesn't necessarily give it more power. If a cave has been dark for a million years, the darkness still flees when a light is turned on, just like it does in a room that has been dark for an hour. Cleansing is the first part, filling them with positive energy is the next part. Adding rudrakshas, mantras, or other specific intentions are important for objects just like they are for people. My guruji used to say that bathing in the Ganga surely removes all sins, but they like to hang out in the trees on the bank and you can put them on again when you get out. To avoid this take God's name and meditate on him when you leave. Arjuna Tiina <xenamacbeal wrote: Dear Arjunaji, Thank you ! Guest guest
On a Different subject: perhaps I should/could share this with you all. I finally received the 'baby rudraksha beads' they're quite common, small, with no lines to indicate the number of [pods] or mukhis, from the 'Shastriji', so now I have to re-thread the two 27 bead wrist malas into a neclace, supposedly in gold [thread ???], and am supposed to wear them night and day....Interesting...Please give me suggestions as to how I wear that and my SidhMala [in the day time]??? I've probably seen too many movies in the vein of "the curse of the ruby ring"... As for bathing in the Ganga ...I hope, some day. Guest guest
Dear Tiinaji, One of the most profund moments I had in India was bathing in the Ganga. Even now thinking of her brings tears of joy to my eyes. She is truly the great mother come to earth. I could feel her enetire length as I stood in her water untied with the source in the Himalaya and the mouth at Gangasagar. May you realize you dream of seeing her and be blessed by bathing in her waters. I hope to get back to see her again, perhaps in the coming year.
