Only some don't take it there. Smashani Babas do. I have met several. How can

the Smashan be a place of impurity?! It is as you said.

RBSC : Rudraksha and smashan bhumi?

Blessings to all.

Could someone here tell me that why the Rudraksha,is not taken to the Smashan

Bhumi.when One of the names of lord Shiva is Smashaneshwar.

I would feel comfortable if the explanation is from a Vedic/Upnadshic text and

not from a neo-age text.

Namaste & Pranaams Mahamuniji and Ashwini Yogiji,

In resonance with your thoughts.. Aghoris/Smashan Babas do.

Sri Ashwini Yogiji, shall try and see if I can find the relevant

scripture/s (may take a bit of time)..

I know I always found it a powerful place to wear them. I have spent much time

doing sadhana in the Smashan, including the Maha Smashan, Manikarnika Ghat, in

Varanasi. Sometimes I still rub my rudraksha malas in some cremation ashes I

brought back from there.

I also find it incredibly charging to leave the malas for some time on top of my

Guru's padukas, on top of one of my Narmadeshwar Lingams (the bigger the better)

or one of my large Parad Lingams.

Pranams,
