Guest guest
Its not about offending. You posted this in the Devi Mandir group too. I mean what use are expressions like: > Are you (masculine) working in Secretariat? > Kim bhavan udyogam karoti va prabhutvasacivalaye? > > No, I am under deputation from steel ministry. > Naiva aham asmi karyaniyoge saralohamatyakat. Also without knowing how to properly strike the tongue for each syllable, how can one properly learn Sanskrit? This is not really an issue for Indians, since they learn to do this naturally from growing up speaking Hindi or other Indian languages, but it is a real issue for Westerners. Guest guest
Holy! this is Awesome!, so...'AHAM' means 'I am'...[masculine], what would 'I am' be for the 'feminines'. I have read sanskrit with English transliteration, however, very difficult to understant or to speak, have memorized mantras like a parrot, however, to learn to speak it would be a different story altogether. Yesterday was our Thanksgiving...Last Friday I was flexing...so I'm just catching up - e-mails. One little good news is that after getting that expensive pooja done for my daughter...she got a new and better job...something she desperately wanted was to get back into the school system. Navaratri pooja worked, or the 'karl sarp yoga pooj was what they did for her. Later. Lada L.
