Namaste Sri Yogi Ashwini,

I'm not an adept so I can only make a guess at this:

Say for example: The smashan is considered impure by Brahmins and

certain traditions of the 10 Classical Hindu Sects. Another example:

Women are considered impure when they menstruate.

Whether the above are "impure", depends on one's family tradition,

family guru lineage, etc.

Those who consider the smashan to be pure (no duality between life

and death but merely the soul being in transition to the next birth

after leaving its physical body), are Aghoris and Smashan Babas who

practice totally different (highly advanced) spiritualities as

transmitted to them by their respective gurus or preceptors.

As for women menstruating, certain Maa Kali devotees and tantrik

systems consider women's shakti to be at a peak during monthly

cycles. These 'groups' say "Welcome!!" to women while others forbid

them from partaking in puja or cooking food in the kitchen, etc..

Don't know if I'm making any sense.. If I don't, please pardon me.

Above all, please consult your Guruji..

Om Namah Shivaya

Yours humbly

Sy
