Guest guest
Dear DharmaDevji, Namaskar I am receiving my Rudraksha Siddha mala from a friend in Nepal this week. A number of very auspicious things happened with this. I was able to secure a mala made with top quality beads purchased from one of the most respected wholesellers in Nepal. My friend personally brought the mala to the famous Sri Pashupatinath temple http://shripashupatinath.org where the mala was offered and blessed in a auspicious 20 minute puja to Lord Pashupatinath, the South Indian brahmin priests from Shankaracharya Peetham chanting Rudri in my name and offering Pachamrita. The Siddha mala was hung on the south face of the Pashupatinath Lingam, I am told the South face signify Aghor i.e. calm form of Lord Shiva. I was told this is symbolic representation of Yamaraj the Lord of Death, also worshipped as Rameswor (one of the Jyotir lingas located in south India) During monday after the puja, I felt an internal shift, been feeling a steadiness and calmness since last week following the puja. Amazing. I need to know what I do before wearing the mala, do I perform the pranapatishtam ceremony or what do I do? Thanks, Love, Ole

Guest guest
Namaste Sri SRDDAji, I thought the same things as yourself, except Oleji's mala was blessed in Pashupati temple which is outside Kathmandu about 3 km. Also curious to know the name of the supplier and what price paid for all this. It would be great to see a scanned pic of the beads on mala. Guest guest
Hello DharmaDev, It has been a tradition to appoint a priest from south of vindhyachala in India who can worship Pashupatinath. He however should be well versed in Vedas initiated with Pashupatishastra Mantra. I am told the priest are from the Shankaracharya Peetham, I presume it is Kanchipuram. Guest guest
The joys of websurfing! If you go to http://www.shripashupatinath.org/procedures.asp, at the bottom of the page you'll find the following quote, "It has been a tradition to appoint a priest from south of vindhyachala in India who can worship Pashupatnath. He however should be well versed in Vedas initiated with Pashupatishastra Mantra." And if you go here ---> "http://www.shripashupatinath.org/Puja.htm", you can see the rates for the pujas. I'm not sure if this is the same rate for people requesting poojas done on their behalf from abroad. I mean i can understand the shipping to be different but a banana is a banana whether someone from Nepal wants it or a person living elsewhere. Oh well... Happy Diwali to AllY'all!!! Guest guest
Salutations Sri SRDDAji, Thanks for response. While I've not doubted Oleji as a person of integrity, some checking has been done about suppliers in Nepal. Many suppliers in Nepal boast that they are "major suppliers to Rudra Centre" (this is what they always say). Most also call themselves "wholesalers". Some are blatant fake artists too. They can't even describe who the buyers are or what they exactly look like - most of the time it is guess work by looking at photos on Home website. This guess-work was also wrong because of the timing of the year they claimed someone from Rudra Centre bought from them. Ironically, Rudra Centre India home office has never bought anything from these people. As we know, Home Office in India only purchases from Direct Authentic Sources. Rudra Centre been asked "exactly where, how, how much and why"?? before. Just as religious items should not be bargained or haggled for, I'm sure most will understand that in every industry (yes, even while serving God), there are trade matters that aren't for disclosure. Guest guest
Yes, I guess business is business when we are talking about trade, even with religious items. That is the nature of human beings. So there are warnings in scripture about these things, which I am taking very seriously, one example is Salagram Silas. Dont know what scriptures say about trade with Rudraksha beads? What is nauseating here is veiled commercialism in the flowery words of spirituality... Guest guest
Don't know where or how you are interpreting "veiled commercialism in the flowery words of spirituality". I suggest you go to Rudra Centre website and read the Mission Statement Kanti Kakini Devi , "alstrup" <alstrup> wrote: > Yes, I guess business is business when we are talking about trade, > even with religious items. Guest guest
They also sometimes spam members of this list, spoofing SRDDA's address. The e-mail purports to endorse their products, using Dharmadeva's name. Disgusting. Love, K. , "syzenith" <syzenith> wrote: > Salutations Sri SRDDAji, > > Thanks for response.
