Guest guest
Namaste Oleji, Great to hear your package arrived, after all the stress/worry. Well, "Shiva" is finally with you :-) And you've got the right idea (to put it in your succinct words) that we are "servants of the beads, not the other way round". This is so true! With all respect, and I say this with utmost respect to all: -------------------------- Oleji, again you can make of things however and whatever you will and wish. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. It is good that we are able to discuss what we perceive to be "Truths", as we see them, without animosity amongst us. There is absolutely Nothing Personal here when I ask that yourself and our friends here permit me liberty in putting forth this: When thinking "Commercial" - is God/dess not traders? They invented "trade" and "commercialism" if you like.. Why and how? We have to propitiate them, perform pujas, make offerings, pray to them, sing their praises, etc., before they would grant boons or hear our cries for divine intervention in some cases. Thus in giving what it is within God/dess's powers to give, aren't they also taking something in return? Trading? or exchanging? At temples, shrines, ashrams and other spiritual organisations, they take "donations" for puja and other services. These are "houses of God". In selling services and in some cases holy items like rudrkasha, yantras, kavachas, etc. aren't they trading? or exchanging? When we "donate" or pay, aren't we exchanging cash for something we want or need? Nobody forces us to. But we want to. Why? Because the other party is "selling" a "commodity" that we would like to have. Respectfully, and in all fairness, I enquired about the same things SRDDA did. With respect, rudraksha sadhaks like Sri SRDDA, other distributors and myself, take on rudraksha and ratna as our lives and in some cases, our lives' work. Much more than sheer devotion is required in trying to spread the message of rudraksha in the West. Some of us rent places, pay for exhibition booths, tons of leaflets, provide free consultations and sometimes free rudraksha and gem therapy, free meditation coaching, free workshops and free malas to the less advantaged and needy people in our societies. For all this, we obtain shipments from Rudra Centre India. Who's pockets or wallets do we get our finances from? God's pockets/wallets too. Because rudraksha & ratna, like all things on earth and in the cosmos, are of God/dess. Like temples, priests and sanyasis, etc., I take "donations" to sustain our service to the Divine, as a mere mortal. If there are no devotees and no "buyers", there will be no "sellers", "wholesalers" or "farmers". God/dess would starve and become extinct too. We did not say "every Nepali is a cheat". I've personally been to Nepal and find most folks are wonderful people.
