Rudraksha's shades of color?/Ramlal

Namaste Ramlal,

 

I've seen all the other colors but not a pitch black rudraksha.

Have you seen an all-round black bead? I think the Siva Purana also

mentions the 4 colors for the 4 castes.

I've never seen a pitch black one either - I wonder if they aren't simply

the darkest of the dark browns.

Yes, I've seen that quote too, it's much like the one from the

Rudrakshopanisad. I wonder whether the colors refer to the bead "before"

or "after" wearing, oiling, etc.?
