Guest guest
At 20k USD a pop you could personally fly first class to Nepal, hire someone of the caliber of Narayan Manandhar, personally visit the ethnic group(s) that harvest the bead and pay them more money than they've ever seen and still have some leftover for charity. Guest guest
Well surely they have to be harvested before they can be sold. My point was that for that kind of money you can go directly to the source which is my policy on most things i care about anyways. I have no problem sharing information when i get it as i have no intention of getting into the Rudraksha business but have every intention of doing a botanical exploration of Nepal for personal reasons. , "syzenith" <syzenith> wrote: > Namaste Suraj, > > Yes absolutely! Guest guest
Dear Syji and all Namaste. In which scripture is the significance of 21 mukhi mentioned. I read that 21 mukhi represents Lord Kubera. Is 21 mukhi considered to be the most powerful Rudraksha and if so why? Based on what I know and based on what Sri Suktam says, Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth. So, for prosperity and wealth the Vedic mantras invoke Maha Lakshmi more than Kubera. And above all, Maha Lakshmi is the consort of Lord Narayana, the Supreme Lord. My late grand father was an expert (Ghanapati) in Rig Veda and many other Upanishads and Puranas. He used to tell me that 21 mukhi is not as powerful as many consider it to be. He used to tell devotees to wear 7 mukhi for pleasing Maha Lakshmi and to be blessed with wealth and prosperity. Logically, that seems to be correct to me. However, he may be right or wrong according to others. Just want to find out what the experts in this group think Hari Om! Guest guest
Since we've been pin-pointing on 21 mukhi, how many of these beads are produced in many harvests? As Rajiv mentioned, probably 4 or 5 in one decade. Affluent collectors who have it in their possession, hang on to it for dear life. The others book in advance. I respect your profession and the fact that you go right to the source like every superb Ayurvedic practitioner. Very excited about hearing news as things develop, there is much for us here to learn so every bit helps. --- In , "surajraghavan2002" <suraj_raghavan@h...> wrote: > Well surely they have to be harvested before they can be sold. Guest guest
Hello Jagadeesh, Your grandfather was a Ghanapati. How wonderful to know that. Your family was blessed with such a person my friend. Guest guest
Hello everyone - I have immensely enjoyed and appreciated this discussion and the very high level of dialogue and knowledge being shared. Just to offer another perspective, there is such a thing as "spiritual materialism" in which people tend to indulge the "more is better" scenario. This can be applied even to Rudraksha and other sacred items. Let us not present ourselves merely as seekers of the holy grail. To those who are able to obtain such wonders as one mukhi round beads or 21 mukhi beads, I offer my sincere admiration. For myself, a nice, uniform strand of 3, 4 or 5 mukhi beads costing much less than $100 transports me to another realm of empowerment and expanded consciousness. I have nothing but praise for even the most common Rudraksha - and again, I deeply appreciate all of you who have so much experience and knowledge in this vast field. with love, Alan >"mahamuni" <mahamuni > ><> >Re: RBSC : Re: Cost of 21 mukhis >Thu, 13 Nov 2003 15:34:10 -0800 > >All are opinions of different people based on their experiences and biases. > Bottom line is you can't buy your way to God/Goddess and no bead will >take you there like a magic carpet.
