Can I ask: If we do silent chants, its more like Hoommm Joommm, then if we chant it aloud its Hoong Joong.. At least this seems to be what is happening to me, these sound vibrational variations. A spiritual man in Delhi told me for example: For Ganesha, its GuNg instead of 'gam' because vibrational 'gam' sounds like the word 'grief'. I can't help thinking its the difference in accent and the native location that influences an individual's pronounciation. There's also the 'ascent' and the 'asscent' Would appreciate your thoughts and comments about this.
