Guest guest
I am interested to hear all memebers opinions. Do you think this group should be moderated, meaning that Dharma Dev controls what is seen and heard by the group? Do you think the moderator should delete posts he doesn't like and judge them and even expel people from the club? Or do you think that all opinions, ideas and experiences should be heard and let each decide their value for themselves? Personally I think the latter. This is why I am leaving for good unless it changes. I am a Free Soul who thankfully lives in a Free Country and who appreciates the merits of Freedom of Speech. I'm not afraid to discuss and debate with others as I feel this is healthy. I think all can find their Truth for themselves. I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks. I hope this post won't get deleted before we hear from everyone. Jai Maa! Jai Shambo! Jai Babaji! Guest guest
Moderation Duties are held jointly between DharmaDev and myself and we also consult with Neetaji on certain matters. The decision to delete posts is not made according to one individual's likes or dislikes but according to the discernment of if posts are made according the principals of Sanatan Dharma..are posts going to offend people who live in other cultures, are posts creating an energy that is disrespectful and disruptive and negative. Most Group Sites are private forums and the nature of what is and is not allowed on any group site is at the discernment of the moderator (s). It is not any individual's priviledge to great havoc and disrupt in the name of freespeech. If you take the time to go through the archives..You will find that this indeed is a Discussion Group and people do have lively and passionate debates here. You know as well as I there is a difference between an exchange of differences and expelling venom and a heavy negativity. It simply will not be tolerated. This forum was created by Rudra Centre as a continuation and extension of Lord Shiva's Work to end pain and suffering in the world. As such we have been quite successful for the most part to maintain and aura of sancity that is a refuge for folks who come here..free from the hassles of the world. People click on the Rudra Centre Website as a devotional site we have discovered. This Group is simply an extension of the reverence and service to Lord Shiva that we maintain in our our lives and work and the power and blessings that He provides for all. I remember the Christians have a saying "What Would Jesus Do?" Suppose that's the Shaivite criteria for posts in a way..Does this post reflect the love of Lord Shiva. Is it a sincere question? Is it a statement that will benefit others? People are free to create their own site and allow "anything goes". I assure you it won't happen here. Meanspiritedness, misinformation, sarcasm and predjudice have nothing to do with Lord Shiva and His gift of the holy rudraksha. It won't be tolerated and it will be fought. I have purposely stayed out of this until now. Much of my duties are to keep track of the archives so that people can go to the messages at anytime with the Subject index and review the wealth of information that is usually shared here. To run across this type of nonsense is a huge waste of time for those who approch these pages for research. I for one supported Dharma Dev in this recent drama. In fact the deletions may have been my idea. Couldn't say. We do have other work to do than babysit those who seem to enjoy creating discord. We were out of town when all this was going on and it was messages from individual members to our private email that informed us what was happening and many were disturbed and felt intimidated to speak in public about it. A handful of individuals will not be allowed to create an atmosphere that the 200 plus other members find offensive. The needs of the Group outweigh the need for personal ourbursts which are only a means to get attention..there are plenty of Groups for that. This is not one of them Pardon my anger..but this has been going on for over a week. I am now finding hateful emails from you specifically being sent to our personal email address. I suggest you start your own group if you do not like the policies here. Can we please move on to something else ????????????????????? Guest guest
Dear Surya, I believe that when you joined the group, you knew what the aims of the group were, and you, also, knew that the group was moderated. Why complain now? Barbara - "mahamuni" <mahamuni <> Friday, November 21, 2003 1:20 PM RBSC : A Query For The Group > I am interested to hear all memebers opinions. Guest guest
I believe a list needs a moderator, or else chaos reigns. I LIKE having a moderator. I don't like noisy lists. Been on them, and stupidness is the keyword of the day. Free Soul/Free Country/Free Speech is just an ILLUSION, btw. Guest guest
Thank you for expressing your opinion. It is appreciated. The ILLUSION though is that you are not already FREE and eternally so. But these are just words and concepts anyway...... Guest guest
Hello, My opinion is that at least one moderator is necessary, to avoid chaos. Free speech is important but with rules. Of course this in a contradiction but without rules where would we be? It's just an opinion, I hope I am not offending anyone here.
