Most Beloved Barbara

You are going thru the DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL

this is a very common experience

It happens to all of us

whether we admit it or not

What I believe and am doing is just plain stupid

God doesn't exist and I've boughten into a pile of rubbish

only idiots are religious

as with everything

this too shall pass

this only happens to advanced souls

just relax and it will go away in time

to reappear later on again and again

I have gone thru this many a time

God Bless You

Jai Bhagavan

Love baba

Dear Baba,

I live with atheists. It is very hard. They believe that "death is the great

equalizer," meaning that it doesn't matter what you do here and now,

everyone dies, and when you die, you are just dead, and then everyone is

equal. I believe that I have read about the dark night of the soul. It was

by a Christian mystic, I believe-- St. Teresa of Avila, but I am not sure. I

try so hard, and nothing happens, and I feel that people are just making fun

of me--they like me for my money though. If I did not have some money, no

one would even bother with me--except my one Christian friend. What is the

point of trying to advance spiritually if it has no meaning--if people just

think that you are smart if you lie? if no one cares anyway? Maybe when we

die, we are just dead. This is what my mother taught me. I try so hard,

Baba. I have over 1800 rudraksha beads, and my daughter says that they are

ugly, and that she wishes that I would get other beads. Some people tell me

that they like my beads, but they never want to be my friend, and my

daughter says that they just say that they like my beads, but that they do

not really. No matter what I do, my family are atheists. I bought a

14-mukhi rudraksha just so that they would attain liberation. I am so tired,

and I don't feel that I can go on.

Thanks for your reply,

Barbara
