Guest guest
Namaste Jayasimhaji, I totally agree with you in this regard....even I used to post such messages... but seems that people want to reach Mahadeva without a ladder ... now a days who cares for "gurur brahma, gurur vishnu, gurur devo maheshwara, guruh shakshata param bramha tasmeya sri guruve namah"... this is taught in primary schools whether they have a guru or not. Even while Asans are sold for dimes, one has to take water in hand and pray to the asan and sprinkle the water..."Om asya shri asya......Om kamal asanaye namah" it has deep meaning, only then one assumes oneself on the asan...there are few basic rules to be followed and takes a few minutes. I think Jayasimhaji missed out on the Shankalpa part...he is a busy man...without Shankalpa chanting of any mantra or performing any pooja is useless... what it basically indicates is reading mantra from books is baseless or useless. The best advise I would give to all the members is that this site is about Rudraksha and when we receive it from the Rudra Centre it is already sanctified...so there is nothing wrong in wearing it (though Rudraksha never requires sanctification as it is always pure). Rudraksha will start working sooner or later. But getting into mantra and tantra is something else...it can be harmful also. One who has a Guru or is a member of his / her ashram will know this..when one calls to ask whether he / she can chant a particular mantra they always ask why. Nobody wants to put anybody into trouble. But if one is bent upon getting into trouble no one can help. Jamini
Guest guest
Respected Jaminiji In our Hindu relegion there a few mantras which are for ordinary mortals to chant and enjoy the fruits of it and there are other mantras specifically for those who are at a higher level of spirituality. So to chant the first type of mantras mentioned above one needs no initiation and it is directly addressing the divine and to proceed into the second type one needs initiation from a guru to understand and proceed further. In the first type the sounds/vibrations are such that even if one does not understand the meaning the sounds create positive energies for the benifit of the person saying the mantra and to his family members. This is the beauty of the sacred texts and the sanskrit language Regards Vipin Jamini Padhi <jamini_padhi wrote: Namaste Jayasimhaji, I totally agree with you in this regard....even I used to post such messages... but seems that people want to reach Mahadeva without a ladder ... now a days who cares for "gurur brahma, gurur vishnu, gurur devo maheshwara, guruh shakshata param bramha tasmeya sri guruve namah"... this is taught in primary schools whether they have a guru or not. Guest guest
Hello Yes I feel it is correct and one can recite the Mahamritunjaya mantra from the book and one needs no initiation,Such mantras are basically for grahastas(people attached to the material world/family...........) and in case one wants to go higher order (sanyas) only then one needs to take initiation from a guru. So please carry on reciting the mantra. Regards Vipin niryanajp <est_mios wrote: Hi! To practice mantra japa, one needs to get initiated into that mantra from a proper teacher? One should not do japa mantra from books? Daily I do recited Mahamritunjaya japa, but I have initiated myself. Is this really correct? Best wishes.
