Guest guest
Namaste Neil, Thanks for the information... so I know atleast one person who has first hand info about Ganeshpuri. I will contact you later. It is good that you spoke about experience of shaktipata (Diksha or transfer of energy by the Gurudeva). Do keep in touch.. regards, Jamini trikashaivism <Trikashaivism wrote: Namaste all, IFor anyone interested, I thought I may add a little about Ganeshpuri. Ganeshpuri was pretty much built around the avadhoot Sri Bhagavan Nityananda, in much the same Shirdi developed by the grace and being of Sai Baba. Bhagavan Nityananda lived in Ganeshpuri for much of his life and it is here that his samadhi is. When Bhagavan took mahasamadhi Swamiji Baba Muktananda stepped into the foreground. It was by Bhagavan's grace, through Baba, that the knowledge and experience of shaktipata became available for many, particularly many in the west, as Jamini stated. My first ever rudraksha mala adorns my main puja picture of Bhagavan : ) Here are some links for anyone wishing to know more about Bhagavan NItyananda and Ganeshpuri. It is a 6 mth course and one does experience Kundalini...I came to know of this place from a french lady of 65. This township is entirely western in the sense of quality and facilities. They have their own communication station, etc. But I have never been there to tell you more. That lady and some others told me that they experienced kundalini in the first day! I was naturally surprised (disbelief)...then learnt that the master there made them experience kundalini with his own powers so that the new comers could know what to achieve as their goal.. > Jamini
Guest guest
Dear Jamini, I have not personaly been to Ganeshpuri. Instead it is from my readings and from what others have told me that I know about Ganeshpuri. Thought it best I make this clear since I seem to have gave the impression that I was speaking from first hand experience. Apologies if this is the way I came across, my intent rather was only to elaborate a little on the place and about the saints associated with it, and provide a few links for anyone interested. Guest guest
Namaste Neil, Thanks Neil. There are plenty of sites or book educated... I feel sorry for self when the french lady invited me I did not go to Ganeshpuri..that was the time just before the FIFA world cup in France....Similarly in 1983, when I was in college I was invited by the Hare Krsna Mission at Juhu, Bombay...thing is the person whom I was talking to called his guru from the A/C Bus...who in turn asked me "why are you asking so many spiritual questions that can't be answered but experienced?"... About Ganespuri I had the chance to meet many Westerners, including Israelis and all were really jolly...going home after 6 months... The good part Neil is that you spoke about "Shaktipata"...wonder how many know about this?? It can be perfomed by only tremendously powerful Gurus..Gurudeva. The person who has sought it through photograph will come to know of it immediately by some means or the other...this happens with ashrams from where you are seeking some kind of Diksha...for perfoming a particular sadhana..currently the ashram I am associated with is offering Kali Maa Diksha.. At Ganeshpuri, it is all about meditation. In the last 2 months one has to teach others in a supervisory manner after 4 months of training..that is how good it is. Does not cost much as per the those whom I have met. As far as the ....anandas are concerned....Bhakti Marg is okay; Ananda Marg / Margis are money makers..and so were banned by Late Indira Gandhiji else how do they make so much money to set up ashrams in US, etc.. people are mislead by the names. It was Swami Vivekananda who earned name and fame and was a scholar and later renounced the world and followed the path of spirituality under Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansha! So if a name ends with "ananda" does not necessarily mean anything... Jamini trikashaivism <Trikashaivism wrote: Dear Jamini, I have not personaly been to Ganeshpuri.
