Yes, using the rudraksham as earrings is thought to be appropriate.

Namaste Jayant,

Agree with Sis Kariji regarding the use of earrings. Also brings to

mind a certain pendant in the Jewelry Section of www.rudraksha-

ratna.com that has a pendant mounted in a round silver frame so the

rudraksha in the middle looks like a globe. It has a sphatik

crystal bead as well.

Maybe the picture cannot be seen clearly on some computers due to

the dark backdrop but please have a look nevertheless. I find this

method of pendalling a bead of a large 5 mukhi to 8 mukhi very

appropriate for use. The same design can be made into a pair of

earrings too if you request Rudra Centre to do this. If you contact

Mrs Neeta at rudracentre , she can give you futher

ideas. There are also many pendalling methods for beads if you would

look at the "Design Gallery" link as well.

Rudraksha isn't really appropriate for mounting on a ring but if you

would to try, you can use a bead of your choice and request Rudra

Centre to make it. I'm sure they will assist you with this idea.

At the same time, I would like to mention that in the SriMad Devi

Bhagavatam, it is said that the wearing of 12 rudraksha beads on the

wrists is recommended...... The wrist contains nerves, blood

vessels and 'fibers' that connect the hands and fingers to nerve

centers that lead all over the body and to the brain, like a kind

of "Inner Ganga". Although the term "Inner Ganga" was not used in

the scriptures, to my humble understanding in trying to decipher

some aspects of "Twilight Language", this seems very much to be the

case.

If you are referring to which bead is appropriate for which finger,

then the examples are as follows:

1 mukhi or 12 mukhi on Surya finger

7 mukhi and Saturn bead on middle finger which is Shani

Navratna ring is also worn on Shani middle finger

8 mukhi Ganesha and Rahu bead on little finger

9 mukhi Maa Durga and Ketu bead on little finger

5 mukhi Jupiter bead is worn on index finger, etc. etc......

As it is, collector sized beads are too big to be worn on fingers

but Rudra Centre can also assist you in finding small sized

rudraksha of the above-mentioned rudraksha mukhis.

Hope this helps.

> Hello Jayant ;)

I have read that your rudrasksha should not be placed on your finger.

the reason is your fingers become soiled and dirty through out the

day. With the earrings it is not good either. your bead/beads are

suppose to touch your skin. And also it is not suppose to be shown to

others. For a person who doesn't know what it is they may touch it.

And that may take away the vibe you have created for it. That is why

in a family you don't share your beads.

I just thought i would share that.
