Well, a lot of older civilizations were matrifocal-- the pre-Roman Britons, for

instance.

 

But, on the other hand... you never know who went where, in earlier times. There

are

Norse rock carvings in the Americas that predate Chris Columbus by a few

the Nascan

figures were of Hindu / India origin.

 

The Nascan figures are those that sprawl across thousands of acres above Nasca,

Peru .. and are

so large as to be seen clearly only from the air.

 

They are clearly a feminine, lunar centered system of voiceless images ..

although the

masculine, {or solar one as Alan suggested} is present .. but in a subservient

role.
