Dear Respected Simoneji, Namaste,

Thank you fo being so kind. Others were positive about the version

of the Gita I had spoke against, so I was cautious of stepping on

other's toes (something which I didn't wish to do). But what a gift

to humanity the Gita is! It would be a terrible shame if someone

missed the opportunity of bathing in its wisdom. Gandhi said:

The Gita is the universal mother. She turns away nobody. Her door

is wide open to anyone who knocks. A true votary of Gita does

not know what disappointment is. He ever dwells in perennial joy

and peace that passeth understanding. But that peace and joy come

not to skeptic or to him who is proud of his intellect or

learning. It is reserved only for the humble in spirit who brings

to her worship a fullness of faith and an undivided singleness of

mind. There never was a man who worshipped her in that spirit and

went disappointed.

Om Shanti

Love

Neil

No, my dear.. we WANT everyone's opinion.. especially re: a document as freeing

and

elevating as the Gita.

I think the ONLY evauative mention of the Hare Krishna edition was by me. And, I

said

I'd HEARD positive things about it. I have no personal experience of it.

And, you're right.. the Gita is literally the Jewel of Salvation.

Thanks, K.

Salutations Respected Neilji,

Yes have heard of arguments/hot debates regarding comparisons with

other Gita versions and this one.. But knowing your good self as I

do, there is never any doubt that you always share something with

the best of intentions and a lot of love for others. Highly

appreciate all your insights and thoughts! Thanks too for sharing

Gandhi.Very well put and something many of us fully resonate with.

Lotsa love

Simone
