Guest guest
..... "Vighnaharta," artist Vijay Prakash. I have been listening to sacred music of Lord Ganesh, because of certain obstacles, manifested in my life. This CD has become a special favorite. Two particulars: The Ganesh Atharvasheersha is performed by the singer, against the compelling background music, in two entirely different and juxtaposed tempi. This lends an immediacy to the piece, and also allows the mind to quickly transcend, between the two separate and disparate melody lines. The different tempi don't clash, but they leave the hearer caught in a transcendant void, in the middle-- hearing both melodys in different parts of the head, the consciousness being carried above them. The Bhaktamanorathasiddhipradam Genesh Stotram-- this is one of the most hauntingly beautiful and compelling pieces that I have ever heard. The singer's angelic voice conveys not only Lord Ganesha's Prevasive Love, but also His Divine Dynamism. Just an opinion. Love, Kari
