Once a upon a time long long ago in ancient Egypt .. when the gods ruled . .

there was {among

others} these gods .. Atum, Osiris, Isis, Nephthys and {the bad guy} Seth.

 

Seth did not like Osiris .. and put about to do him in .. which {by legend and

deed} indeed he

did! and he spread hi parts about the world.

 

Isis was the sister wife of Osiris, and wanted child by him. So she {Isis} and

her sister

Nephthys set out to gather Osiris's parts. It being Isis's intent to consort and

thereby bear

child.

 

But look high and low .. Isis and Nephthys could gather all but one part .. the

male part she

needed.

 

Unknown to Isis, however .. {and unknown to the rest of the world to this very

day} Nephthys

actually found the male part and assumed possession.

 

Isis is said to have used magic at this point .. and became pregnant with child

{later to be

named Horus.}

 

Isis {while in gestation} became known as Hathor and all of womanhood was

revered thereafter.

 

But what of the three-eyed goddess?
