Guest guest
Greetings Everyone I am quite new to rudraksha but I am wanting to purchase some for myself and my family. About the wearing of the pendants...I have read about wearing them for 40 days etc - but is that a straight 40 days or is that just on the day that is offered in the descriptions, perhaps mondays etc. I have heard others wear them all the time. Also, if you buy rudraksha for a child does the child need to wear them around the neck or would it be just as beneficial to have them hanging on a crib or a bed - (i have 2 young children with health issues who are 1 and 3 and it would be difficult to have them wear them without losing them or eating them for that matter!) What do you recommend for a child who is 5...I blieve it looks like my daughter would benefit from a 9 muhki but it is recommended for teens - would that be too strong for her? One more question...Do most adults start out with a 1 muhki? Thoughts on this are most appreciated! Blessings Lori
Guest guest
Dear Lori Ji Namaskar Mitra and thank you for your questions.............will try and answer to the best of what have learned and there are many more here who also have answers 40 day Spiritual Disciplines are something of a standard process to achieve results a person is looking for...........during the first wearing Rudra Center recommends that a person wear each day for 40 days in a row with Mantra and intent and purpose for the changes they wish to recieve.........the Blessings of Lord Siva they wish to recieve For first wearing need to wear at least an hour or two each day and if you Meditate then especially at this time of day.........keep at head of bed on night table when you sleep or if you like fix the mala in such a way as it does not disturb sleep and wear at night also...............when not being worn mala can be placed at place of worship also......if you like please read all those articles we have on www.rudraksha-ratna.com and it will bring you up to speed on all this fairly fast.......articles in our archives on our group site also can help Siva Purana and SriMadDeviBhagavat with Rudraksa References in English can be found at www.Natarajbooks.com if you are in the US We dont normally recommend the Holy Rudraksa for wearing for children under age of 5 years as their bodies are trying to attune themselves to this existence.....If you hang a mala on crib please make sure it is doubled or tripled and tied into this position with string around the beads in several places so the mala almost looks like a thick wrist mala so child cannot wrap around neck and have accident Specific to Rudraksha Recommendations for each specifc person please take advantage of Rudra Centers Free Rudraksa and Ratna Recommendations at www.rudraksha-ratna.com ............on home page there is an Recommendations Icon...........click on this and fill out the page and our Jyotish Astrologers will send you recommendation in about a week......will take a couple of days longer at this time of year due to Divali Festival in India.......so we will all be back to work after the 17th of this month that is next wednesday Most adults start out with Holy Rudraksa Beads that are listed in their Recommendations and what they are attracted to for their first mala Another website to take a look at for Mantra is www.sanskritmantra.com There is a book there or on Amazon.com titled Healing Mantras that teaches Sanskrit Mantras Phoneticly.............if you know english it show the correct pronounciation in Sanskrit hope this helps a little..........if we can help further please let us know as there are many Knowledgable members in this group Wishing you and Family the Best of Health Happiness Success and Prosperity and wishing you a Happy Divali Aum NamaSivaya Sivaya Nama Aum Thanks and Take Care Rudra Center America DharmaDev Arya In a message dated 11/10/2004 9:07:18 PM Pacific Standard Time, ljhamann writes: > > > > > > Greetings Everyone > > I am quite new to rudraksha but I am wanting to purchase some for > myself and my family. > > About the wearing of the pendants...I have read about wearing them > for 40 days etc - but is that a straight 40 days or is that just on > the day that is offered in the descriptions, perhaps mondays etc. I > have heard others wear them all the time. > > Also, if you buy rudraksha for a child does the child need to wear > them around the neck or would it be just as beneficial to have them > hanging on a crib or a bed - (i have 2 young children with health > issues who are 1 and 3 and it would be difficult to have them wear > them without losing them or eating them for that matter!) > > What do you recommend for a child who is 5...I blieve it looks like > my daughter would benefit from a 9 muhki but it is recommended for > teens - would that be too strong for her? > > One more question...Do most adults start out with a 1 muhki? > > > Thoughts on this are most appreciated! > Blessings > Lori > > > > > To send an email to: > > > > Links > > > > > > > >
