Guest guest Posted January 15, 2005 Report Share Posted January 15, 2005 Dear Bikramjit Ji Have a book here on Gems and Rudraksa and although many other gemstones are mentioned for pacifying planets Amber is not one of them In Hindi is called Kaharua It is not a gemstone but a fossil resin from tree sap as far as I know Being worn around neck pacifies the mind and book says it is believed that by wearing amber one can be saved from being imbalanced. Its yellowish, reddish and brownish colour makes me wonder. Research on internet did not give me precise answer. More votes were to Sun. But I feel, it might relates to Mars and Jupiter too.
