Guest guest
Namaste. I have recently joined and find this to be a very wonderful group. I am enjoying looking through past posts. There was a discussion earlier this month that has caused me to wonder about some things I see on sale on ebay. Both the scriptures and authorites such as Rudra Center speak of wearing beads in pairs or at least the lower faceted beads,2-7 mukhi, where even 3 beads should be worn for most effectiveness, yet I see repeatedly pendants for sale on ebay that are made of one 4 or 5 mukhi bead. It has made me wonder in the past when I see these things on ebay and one of your discussions earlier this month was on the effectiveness of wearing one bead. Wanted to put this out to the Group as I am curious as to why some one would sell something that is energetically incorrect when for just a little bit of extra money a mala could be made that is according to scriptures. Hope my English isn't confusing :-0 Thank you for this forum Love, Chandi
Guest guest
Dear Chandi Ji Namaskar and thank you for your posting..............specificly the SriMadDeviBhagavat states that to string Mala for Mantra Siddhi then a person is to string mouth part to mouth part and rear part to rear part with a specific number of Beads.......since they knew at time of writting this book that the most can be accomplished if you wear in pairs........or pairs of pairs........... then this seemed to be one of the most practical and best ways to wear the Holy Rudraksa Is perfectly fine to wear only one Bead......many do as that is all they can a fford.....the real issue is to at least have a person wear one bead.......then if they would like to experiment with what has been found in the Holy Books they can do this gradually As a Science of Implementation Malas can be built as Mantras are built..........for example a person can wear One Bead and chant Aum Gum Ganapatayei Namaha or they can feel they would like to gain more and wear pairs of Beads and go to a larger MahaMantra that would be Aum Gum Glaum MahaGanapatayei Namaha hope this helps Thanks DharmaDev In a message dated 4/17/2005 7:38:32 PM Pacific Standard Time, om_shri_skanda writes: > > > > > > Namaste. > I have recently joined and find this to be a very wonderful group. Guest guest
Chandiji, I think it's a matter of degree, maybe more than greed. One bead can give excellent energy. Two or three beads (depending on number of mukhi) is much better-- the pairings optimize the energies. Take care, Kari om_shri_skanda <om_shri_skanda Apr 17, 2005 2:36 PM RBSC : Wearing One Bead Namaste. I have recently joined and find this to be a very wonderful group. Guest guest
Dear Dharma Devaji: Thank you for this perfect answer. It makes total sense what you have said. It most certainly has given some understanding to me of something that had been confusing me.
