Swami Ramanuja's birthday is only a few days away, (2nd May,2006) it is apt that we talk and hear about the greatest acharya of our Sampradaya. As devotees, we all take some time and celebrate the only Acharya who is the central pendant in our Acharya GuruParanara. This joy and celebration should be natural to all of us. Question) What makes Swami Ramanuja the "only" unique acharya, why not Kurattazhvan, PillaiLockacharya, VendantaDesikacharya or Swami Manvala Mamuni. Answer given by Sri U.Ve Velukkudi Krishnan Swami] We all take pride calling ourselves as vaishnavas and more as Ramanuja Dasa/Dasi. When there were so many acharyas before and after Swamy Ramanuja, what is the uniqueness about Ramanuja. Let me share some of them with you. Let us look at 10 points as to what makes Swami Ramanuja the "only" unique acharya." Srimate Ramanujaya Namaha. ______________________ ______________________ Message: 2 Sat, 29 Apr 2006 00:58:56 -0000 "Sreenivas R" <sreenivas_r (AT) hotmail (DOT) com> Q - Dehame Devalayam, Jeevude Sanathana Daivam Dear All, Could some one give more information on these words. Guest guest
Dear All, Thanks to all of you who has responded to my question. One thing I came to know is that it is Annam Aacharya Line which I was not aware of it so far. Please correct me wherever I am wrong. 1) dhEhamE rA dhEvAlayam == Our body is temple 2) jIvudE sanAthana dhaivam == The living entity or the jIvAthma is eternal (sanAthana) god (dhaivam). >From this explanation I think that our body is like temple and the soul which is residing in it has to be maintained with eternal direction towards god. For anything in this world to move, there should be a friction. Without friction there is no motion. So are the sufferings. Sufferings are like divine blessings. It is only at that point of time you remember god and ask for his help. If everything is going well, you never think of him. So god pulls you towards him and it is us who has to realize this and start thinking more of him. Thanks again and I wish that I get more inputs on this. Guest guest
harE krShNa! AzhwArgaL thiruvadigaLE sharaNam! jay shrIlA praBhupAdha! Dear Devotee Sri Srinivasa, *Kindly do not accept this as shrI annamAchArya's sankIrthanam unless you get proof.* And my humble request for the person who quoted this sankIrthanam as shrI annamachArya's, please do not misinterpret unless you know perfectly. You said, "It would be shrI annamAchArya's", which means you are not sure. And the result is now devotee Srinivas is considering this mAyAvadha sankIrthana as shrI annamAchArya's. And as far as my knowledge this sankIrthana definitely DOES has the mAyAvAdhi meaning because it clearly statest that jIvathma is god (or eternal god). Hence this cannot be a song of any vaiShNavas. Finally to conclude, a true devotee of lord viShNu may sing as, "jIvAthma is the eternal servant of god" but not "jIvAthma is god". Sorry if I had any verbal mistakes. adiyEn's praNAms to all devotees. - Balaji - The Servant of Devotees!
