thirucciRRambalam

Meaning:

The chained (by serpent vasuki) grand mount as the

churn-staff, celestials along with demons churning

(the ocean) - the poison that rose - various divines

frightened by that reaching out and said,

"(We are at) Your refuge". So the Lord Who

resided at thiruccAykkADu - being the highly Merciful,

ate the poison of the grand ocean.

Notes:

1. Nice song to be sung during pradhOSham.

2. vaDam - rope (here vAsuki); carNam - refuge

(This is sharaNam. Not to be confused with charaNam

which is foot); thaDam - big.
