I am spelling it phonetically the way I think it is pronounced. Ardas Ba hee Amar Das Guru Amar Das guru Ardas Ba hee Ram Das Guru Ram Das Guru Ram Das Guru Sa chee Sa hee Specifically, is the 'h' silent, and is the 'ee' long as in 'see'? And is 'Sa' as in 'Sat' or 'Saw'? Thanks! Prithi Kaur Kundalini Yoga, Books, Videos and DVDs on Kundalini Yoga, Meditation and Mantra CDs Terms of Service. Ardas Bhaee: "A mantra to feel god with you always, and a prayer which answers all prayers" When we leave the familiar and the comfortable (and comfort is the disease....), it's easy to want to turn back. This is one of those mantras that will help ferry you across the "world ocean", and assure your arrival at the other shore. I held a bar of chocolate (with ginger chunks in it) at arms length the other day. I told myself "self, you can have this after your practice". I drew "strength" from the KNOWLEDGE that nothing is sweeter than being clear, content and with a feeling of "rightness" about myself, which will comes when I do my practice well. Why I am saying this is I resisted the comfort of the familiar and the immediate, and instead went into the unknown and delayed gratification a little bit. I actually was savoring and tasting my being from the moment I said "no". This is the same apprehension and struggle most of us feel at first when we open our eyes at 3am, knowing that getting up would be the best thing despite it feeling so cozy in bed. And it shouldn't be too easy. We are human. We have process to undergo, and feelings to feel and needs to address before our practice can fully manifest in all areas of our being and not just in some small disciplined place in our hearts. Are Robert Nesta Marley said "The Hotter the Battle, the sweeter the Victory". Yes, I am still in Alaska, at least for > another month and then back to Wash. for the summer. Have you > relocated to the Northwest? Not Yet. On my way later this summer or fall....God willing! It is so lovely in the spring. Further north there wont be buds for another 2 weeks and they're still Prayin for Spring. Terms of Service.
