Guest guest
Family, I have been thinking about posting signs at a local new age book store in our small town, and/or in the Religion Department at our little university to see if I could find people who would want to learn Sanskrit, sing bajans, do the pujas translated by Swamiji. I live in a smallish community that is very conservative, but just know I am not the only one here interested in Sanatana Dharma. Does anyone have suggestions about how to proceed with such? The closest Hindu Temple is about 4-5 hours away. I know there are some TM folks and Krishna devotess within a few hours but have not gotten the sense there is anything organized locally. My day-dream on the way to work every day is to by this lot I pass, and then build a temple where we could feed people, sing bajans, and do puja...maybe someday this will happen here. Jai Maa! Nice dream. Maybe starting with finding a friend to chant the Chandi with is a more reasonable approach! Suggestions welcomed!!! Guest guest
Why not make a flyer, put it up at all the health food stores and alternative places around your area, and see what response you get. You might just be surprised.
