Guest guest
Sri Parthasarathi thunai Srimathe ramanujaya Namaha Sri Vara Vara munayE Namaha Sri vAnAchala mahA munayE Namaha Many philosophies and religions have been profounded and propagated for ages. "Samayam palapala vAkki" says swamy Nammazhwar. All the different philosophies were framed by emperuman himself and were given to the world. Among these, Srivaishnava dharmam remains unique. This is because, it has been in existence from the age of the vedas and our glorious Guruparamparai stream of Acharyas propagates its richness across generations. The originator of this Srivaishnava sampradayam, who is the first in the Guruparamparai chain of acharyas, is Lord Sriman Narayanan himself. He is followed by piratti, Sri Mahalakshmi. Then follows senai mudaliyar, vishvaksenar. This lineage is actually a cycle starting with periya perumal and ending with perumal himself as he cherished being the disciple of Swamy manavala mAmunikal the last in the acharya lineage. Moksha is assured to anyone who is part of this cycle. To get more Srivaishnavas into fold swamy udaiyavar, blessed with the wealth of the two worlds and one who is adorned as "Srivishnu loka mani mandapa mArga dhAyee" appointed the 74 simhasanAdhipadhis, who blessed shisyas with the three rahasyas (samasrayanam/panchasamskaram) and got them into the sharanagathi marga as a representative of Swamy ramanuja. We find the acharyas in the lineage of the 74 simhasanAdhipadhis still doing samasrayanam and uplifting many ignorant jeevatmas. After swamy udaiyavar the "oran vazhi sampradayam" continued till Swamy manavala mAmunikal, adorned as ethi punarAvathara (yatheendra pravana). Swamy mAmunikal appointed ashtadiggajAcharyas to spread and establish the ramanuja darsanam in all the 8 directions. The first and foremost among them, the prime disciple of Swamy mAmunikal celebrated as "Ponnaddikal jeeyer' by mAmunikal himself was the founder of the vanamamalai mutt, 'HH Sri onnana vanamamalai ramanuja jeeyer swamy" No words can really express the deep acharya bhakthi of swamy. Onnana swamy took sanyasa even before his acharya, Swamy Mamunikal for the very purpose of acharya kainkaryam. Swamy did extensive traveling throughout India as per the instruction of his acharya and did a great service to our sampradayam. The effect of which we realize even today, as we find thodadri mutts throughout India and in Nepal. Adiyen has met a few people from Nepal who proudly declare themselves to be thodadri mutt shisyas and when we say that we are also part of the mutt then the reverence and regards reflect in their eyes. To have a detailed study about this great acharya adiyen requests you all to go through the book "Sri Varamangai Muni Vaibhavam". The writeup in english based on this book can be seen under the following link www.geocities.com/sumivaradan under vaibhavams section. Following ponnaddikal swamy, 30 Jeeyers have followed till date. Now the crown of Vanamamalai mutt is adorned by our revered acharya HH Sri kaliyan vanamamalai Ramanuja Jeeyer swamy (30th peedAdhipathi). Due to the divine blessings of our acharya and the ultimate grace of parthasarathi emperuman adiyen had written about the taniyan, kainkaryam and charama sloka details of the first 27 Jeeyers as postings in the groups based on "Gaganagiri Muni Guruparampara Prabhavam". Adiyen humbly requests all bhagavatas to browse through the archives to know about all the great mahans (acharyas) in the Gaganagiri Muni Guru parampara. With such a great order of acharyas and with mutts all over India, isn't it fare to have a mutt also in the second special divya desam for Srivaishnavas, thirumalai? But why hasn't there been a mutt in thirumalai till today? Let us wait till the next posting to know the answer. Azhvar emperumAnAr Jeeyer thiruvadigalE sharaNam Adiyen ramanuja dAsee Sumithra Varadarajan "LET US WORK IN UNITY AND BE PART OF THE ACHARYA KAINKARYAM AND GET CLOSE TO THE HEARTS OF THE DIVINE COUPLES"
