Srimathe ramanujaya namaha;

Sri NilamAmangai sametha ulaguiya nindra perumal thunai:

Dear Srivaishnavas,

http://www.pbase.com/svami/thirukkadalmallai

Thirukkadal mallai is a divyadesam which is just 50 Kms from Chennai city.

This is famously called as Mahabalipuram or Mamallapuram.

Moolavar - Sri Stalasayanapperumal

Utsavar - Ulaguiya nindra perumal

Thayar - NilamAmangai thayar.

This divyadesam boasts mangalasasanams of two great azhwars who were one in

the first list (mudal Azhwars) and the other in the last.  Yes it is

Bhoodath azhwar and Thirumangai azhwar.  Adding to the flavour,  this

divyadesam happens to be the the avatara stalam of Bhoodathazhwar.

Though this divyadesam has lots of such greatness under its belt, Alas!

there were only two adyapakas in the arulicheyal goshti.  Today adiyen

happens to be the third member in the arulicheyal goshti.  Adiyen genuinly

requests all the Srivaishnavas to pay a vist to this divyadesam and worship

this great lord,   Who has  come here to protect this whole world (Ulaguiya

nindra perumal).

Adiyen has captured pictures of some important events and places during this

ongoing Brahmotsavam on the 3rd day including the avatara stalam of

Bhoodathazhwar which is currently under the archealogical department of

India.

Uniqueness of the side-posture picture of perumal is, where you can see

Bhoodathazwhar in the "Gadhai".

(The place is also famous for its Adivaraha shrine near the seashore, where

the Lord is known as "Valavendai Gnanapiran" or the Lord having His Consort

on His right side unlike other places with His Consort on the left side like

the nearby Thiruvidaventhai divyadesam, which is just within 7 km from

thirukkadalmallai, whose gopuram picture can be seen at:

http://www.pbase.com/svami/thiruvidanthai)

Hope you all will enjoy and definetly pay a visit.

Adiyen Ramanuja dasan,

Varadarajan
