Pranams to all,

I take this opportunity to write about an ancient Maha Sharika Devi temple located on the hillock of Hari Parbhat, Srinagar. The "Shila" is natural. Here the Divine Shakti is most vibrating and many great seekers had their realization at this place.

  Regards,

  Virendra.

Om Shri  Chakreshvara Chakra Rajaaya Namah!

My obeisance to Shri Chakreshvara Chakra Raja!

It is the Svayambhu Shakti on the most sacred Shila of Hari Parbat. It emanates Divine Pulsation with definite frequency to keep the universe in eternal motion, harmony and equipoise.

Maha Sharika is the innate flux of Durga Sapta Shati, popularly revered as Shri Chandi. It is because of Her grace that Kashmir is called the Reshi V'a'ir-Rishi Bhumi of the Sapta Rishis. The great Tantrik Rishis like Abhinav Gupta, Vasugupta, Kshema Raja, Bhatta Kallata and in the modern age in the graceful personalities of Swami Laksman Joo, Bhagawan Gopinath and others had great association here. In fact, all the great saints of Kashmir have prayed at the feet of Chakreshvara.

Shri Chakra is for understanding the Divinity through devotion-sadhana, bhakti and yoga.

  Namaste friends,

It has been so long... so many lives... but the memory of Kashmir

is still in my consciousness... the sacred atmosphere. I wish I could

visit it. My ex-girlfriend went to India and stayed for 4 months but

she was advised by government officials not to go to Jammu and

Kashmir. So the nearest she went was Dharmsala to visit the Buddhist

Lama´s. She also saw many Hindu temples in many cities and described

them to me, I was marvelled.

Is it safe to go to Jammu and Kashmir region? I ask this because if

I go to India I´ll go straight to New Delhi and from there directly

towards Kashmir, since for me it is the most sacred and interesting

part of India. I also plan to stay sometime getting to know other

cities but at least 3 weeks in Kashmir is my first plan on arriving in

India. Many say it is not safe. Is it really not safe?

   Best regards,

   Fred

Dear Fred,

You can take a chance now. We are planning a trip during first week of July. This time Kashmir is full of Indian tourists.

I have been helping some friends with arrangements through my close contacts in Srinagar, Kashmir. Ralph Natraj, a tantra teacher rom Netherlands stayed with my friend in Srinagar.

I am keen to conduct study and meditation classes in Srinagar. Oh! There is lot of Spanda (Divine Vibration) there. I am negotiating a small apartment on rent from a friend in Srinagar so that our spiritual friends can stay with minimum possible expenditure. Let us see.

  Om Namah Shivaye!

  Virendra.
