Can we ask why Hinduism could not be define by its holy men who have risked their life to defy the political and social order of their time? I have no interest in politics, i am only presenting the issue of spirituality and social dis/engagement, and addressing the repproach made to Islam that some of its holy names had controversy with the sultan of the time, thus blending all issues under one tag easy to handle. The fact is, there is no one block extremist Islam against the world in general or Hindus in particular, there are within Islam many sensitivities and streams [one can grant that to human intelligence] and the Sufi are a vivid influence [see Islamic music and its verses many know] and when metionning Islam and violence one should keep in mind that after enduring such yoke as colonialism the Islamic countries [set apart 4 or 5 oil exporters] have still not found a way to be accepted at the banquet of the wealthy, one could easily see in the world that any forceful affirmation of Islam is nothing compared to the continuous coercion of the West on the Islamic domain. I have spoken too much and you can ignore anything i said which is not directly related to the issues of this list.
Guest guest
Can we ask why Hinduism could not be define by its holy men who have risked their life to defy the political and social order of their time? Generally speaking, this is the case. Although Hinduism isn't defined by it's holy men, it is defined by the spiritual laws or teachings they discovered or founded.
