Guest guest
Dear Vaisnavas, Pamho. Please can you help me by providing some experiences and INFOS regarding setting up a small multimedia studio. my plan is to start first with producing slide shows enriched by some fancy layouts and titles, maps, quotations... plus synchronised with the background music or straigt comment narations. Then as we would get more experiences we would like to insert also some Video clips.... The goal is to produce nice presentations in order to facilitate our preaching work on Universities, Colleges and on various public programs. I would welcome any ideas, comments and advices from any point of view. Computer HW, SW, Choreography, ..... As far as the HW is concerned, my initial plan was to get one MAC desktop (recently I discovered one company which sells SuperMacs thats a clone by UMAX company and they come cheaper here in Czech then in USA, since they manufactured in and imported from Taiwan. I feel MAC platform is better paltform for Mutlimedia production then PC. Since we have a lot of slides from India - I want to get some good SLIDE SCANER. Could you tell me what SLIDE SCANER would be sufficent for our purpose? I mean the quality which would be sufficent for LCD Projection as the end result. Of course time to time I would like to use that scanner also for local magazine. Just recently I was searching throughout the market with DATAPROJECTORS. I found two good ones. Portable ones. ASK Impression A4 and EPSON PowerLite 5000. I don't know what HW & SW we need in order to digitalise sound and later on also videos. The final presentations will be no longer then 18 minutes. compositions of Slides and their collagess, titles and sound. The presentations doesn't have to be neccessary interactive. Simplest would be to just put it together on computer with possibility to record it also on VHS tape for wider distribution. So I am also not sure what kind of media would be the best for recording it and running on other platforms then MAC. like from PC notebook... Of course CD-ROM is the cheapest solution. I thaught also JAZ would be good. Does somebody already do this kind of SHORT noninteractive or interactive presentations? thank you very much for you concern and future help yhs mkd
